What happens here
Once all painting is complete and the final coat is thoroughly dry to the touch and ready for handling (check manufacturer's recommendations for 'handle time' or 'full cure'), carefully remove the door from the rotating stand. Begin cleaning the spray gun immediately according to the manufacturer's instructions, using the appropriate cleaning solution (e.g., water for latex paints, mineral spirits for oil-based paints, or specific solvent for lacquers). Disassemble parts if necessary for thorough cleaning to prevent clogs. Remove all plastic sheeting and masking tape from the work area and dispose of them properly. Store any leftover paint in an airtight container in a cool, dry place to prolong its shelf life.
Goal: Clean equipment and work area, and safely store materials
