Pond Build Time Lapse

What happens here

After significant excavation, the pond takes shape. The temporary pipe used for water diversion during construction will be removed, and the area will be filled with clean soil and compacted to create a solid dam. The water level will then be raised by approximately 2.5 feet, allowing the pond to naturally fill with groundwater and spring water. The completed pond is intended to serve as a clean water source for cattle, with measures to prevent them from directly entering and contaminating the pond. Fish, specifically 50 channel catfish (with plans to add more species), have already been introduced to help keep the pond clean. The final landscaping around the pond edges will be smoothed and blended using a skid steer and caterpillar loader, and excess dirt will be removed.

Goal: Establish the pond's final water level, complete the dam, and introduce aquatic life.
