Prime and Cement Pipe Joints

Plumbing up the Septic Tank...Never thought it would be FUN! #plumbing #farming
What happens here
To create a strong, watertight joint, first apply PVC primer (often purple) to the outside of the pipe end and the inside of the fitting socket. Ensure complete coverage for both surfaces. Immediately after priming, apply a generous, even coat of PVC cement to the same primed surfaces. Work quickly, as the cement sets rapidly. Push the pipe and fitting together firmly with a slight twist until they are fully seated. Hold them in place for about 10-15 seconds to allow the cement to set, preventing the pieces from pushing apart. This process is repeated for every joint in the pipeline.
Goal: Create secure, watertight connections between PVC pipe sections and fittings.
