Apply Pipe Dope Over Tape

What happens here

Once the Teflon tape is properly applied to the pipe threads, take the 'Hercules MegaLock' pipe dope and use the attached brush to apply a full and even coat directly over the taped threads. Ensure that the pipe dope covers all the wrapped tape, reaching into the valleys of the threads. This layer acts as a secondary sealant, filling any microscopic gaps that the tape might miss, and provides lubrication, which helps in tightening the joint and achieves a stronger, more secure connection. The pipe is now fully prepared to be threaded into its corresponding fitting, ensuring a reliable, leak-free seal.
