What happens here

This project showcases various aspects of professional snow removal, including handling unexpected equipment breakdowns, efficient 'open-up' plowing techniques with a truck, and effective snow pushing with a Kubota compact wheel loader equipped with an Arctic sectional pusher. It emphasizes the importance of proper technique to prevent ice formation and minimize equipment wear, while also demonstrating the functionality of different snow removal tools.

it's not really intuition but anytime I pull up to a job and I see two guys looking at something I know that's never a good sign how the hell did that bend like that I was pushing the button and Zach was hitting on it up here to try to get this pin to pop and it must just be cheap metal I'm not sure but that's thick ass to just and all we were banging on was a small Mall yeah right there there's no way I meant it I think it was from these things were so seized and it was trying to pull it in so hard but is that hydraulic cylinder is that the no this is the cylinder side that's there that's just the yeah that's just the arm there yeah it is no way he's straightening that out nope I'm just wondering if there's a way that we could take these snap rings off and just manually lock it in for the night snap Rings right here if we pop these and Pop That ram off then we can manually just push it down and lock it without using that auto yeah she stays on the on The Pusher all winter anyways if you don't pull the bucket off or anything yeah but you need the option I know yeah yeah so but we just need to get through this snowfall first and foremost because that's why I was thinking to disconnect them and just lock it down right otherwise we're stuck to you some skids and that's taking them this is our key piece out here I'd say I'd say too so we got a light little snowfall not enough to write home about but enough to make us do open UPS this is where we just open up the drive lanes and nothing more just to make it easy for cars to get in and out and open up is easy money you just drive around or in the middle of the day creating paths so that the cars can come in and out without sliding out or dealing with snow Banks but we had one account that we called crackhead square and that was not easy money because the people that lived there wanted to get hit not all but enough of them that it made your job very difficult you had to put your head on a swivel because as you were driving forward people would intentionally pull out behind you and sit and wait so if you were backing up you had to always look once or twice before you moved because you never knew if somebody was going to be sitting right behind you waiting for their car to get smacked and get a big fat Insurance yes and you guys heard that beautiful grinding sound the problem with open UPS is you just drive around with your blade down it's not up down up down it's just a lot of down time with the blade down on the ground which means you wear your metal out real fast doing this but it's part of what has to be done now let's go into magical Time Warp where Dan the man can add some cool sounds and we'll just have some fun doing whatever we do and I'll keep wiping this camera off because it's just gonna keep getting wet as fast as it gets it gets on the truck so let's just do that [Music] that you'd climb up over the hill what the flip do they go this way or did they go that way no it looks like they slid this way right front tires went this way back tires [Applause] did they go up the hill or down the hill technically they did both England up and down I don't know things that make you go hard you think do you think people in Minnesota would know how to drive but they don't I guess they don't get enough freaking practice [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] testing testing all right well you guys are like legitimately right in front of my eyes I don't think I can get this any closer to what it looks like for me if it seems like oh man you can't quite see that plow it's because you can't quite see that plow not even from the cab see that hood Pop I can't quite see it all right we're still doing open UPS we don't really have enough snow here but I guess the gist of what we're showing you here is how well the the control is really super easy layout on this this is a boss controller and boss has a beautiful intuitive controller for their plows wait a minute this is not a boss controller [Music] it's a boss hookup but I think they used I don't know you know what somebody correct me I don't I'm not 100 sure because this has what's called a transport mode and basically what that does is that raises the let me just show you [Music] bring your wings in you hit transport mode and see how the Wings come up that keeps your wings from dragging on the ground not very effective when you're trying to plow so then you got a plow button mode but let's we're going into plow mode then we go down then we angle our left wing out which is the button over here we'll angle the right wing out now we're in scoop mode now we just go all the way down but we're just going to capture all we're doing is capturing the the drive planes as much as we possibly can and pushing them up up and away pretty much [Music] probably one of the [Music] one of the whether this is a boss controller or not I don't know I just know it works and I know that though that for a long day of plowing you want an easy controller that's for sure and we come to the end of our run we lift up early peel them Wings back now we're gonna actually move to another lot so we're just gonna partially transport it all I'm doing is angling the backs of those blades up bringing them in I just don't want those to drag the Ram truck after a couple of years here I'd say it's a pretty darn good snowplow truck but definitely 37 000 miles uh I've had problems with stuff that's been out of warranty just because the age of the truck not because of the mileage so I don't know I think I'm gonna buy the next the next one's gonna be a Ford I want to try that Godzilla I think with the diesel fuel shortages that are supposedly going on I don't know that kind of freaks me out maybe it doesn't freak you guys out but freaks me out of course what differences make of its diesel fuel or something else shortage all right let's cut some pass with the Kubota see how she does everywhere that parking lot is wet it will turn to ice this evening when the temperatures drop below freezing so it's really important that we scrape as much snow off before that turns to ice because it's the difference between having a thin layer of ice or having a big thick nasty layer of ice and that salt that we've got to apply later on in the evening we wanted to get to the pavement as quickly as possible so the better we can scrape everything off the better that salt can do its job later on foreign [Music] foreign [Music] things that I'm trying to show is uh let's hit this curb up here on purpose right here right in front of us let's just band dangle that thing right there I don't like doing this but see how those two sideboards one there and one there lift up they do the work for me actually I shouldn't have done that right there I don't want snow on them curves [Music] look how those how look how well that cleans these arctics are super simple design no hydraulic hoses no grease zerks it does use a rubber Puck system that some guys complain breaks but in nine years or four years of running nine plows I've never had a single Puck break in my life so I don't know what they're doing that I'm not and I'm not easy on these things and none of my guys are [Music] I don't know how they're breaking I'm like you know how they're breaking them they get big piles of ice and then they Ram their machine into it which you know you know guess what Something's Gonna Break when you do stupid stuff like that look how well that bad boy scrapes that is clean foreign that's a good scraping right there [Music] foreign [Music] thing I don't do is put my tires down too much onto the ground too much down pressure just because I like to be able to turn and I learned you can turn a whole lot better if your tires are on the ground then if you let lift them up off the ground like I'm doing right there too much down pressure not good just the right amount good [Music] I don't have too much pressure going down right now I just have my plow floating that allows me to turn and to keep plowing as I go around corners where if I have too much down pressure it doesn't allow me to steer anymore so you want to get that kind of in that little bit of a sweet spot where if we take a look what we do where we just went you can see exactly she still cleans and clears but I didn't have any problem going around the corners all right I'm gonna try to uh I'm gonna put some too much down pressure down see I'm trying to turn it's a little bit like driving a boat at this point if I let up I got control push down she kind of does what she wants to do let up I am in control so I and I know you guys are like oh everybody knows that you're a monkey no not everybody does not everybody's driven alone or I've got a lot of guys on my team that have never driven a loader like this they've driven skid loaders or like thousands of hours in those but they may not have ever driven a payloader with a front Pusher on it [Music] so sometimes you say the things that it's you guys aren't you know [Music] everybody everybody didn't know it at one point meaning there was a time when you didn't know how to run a loader you never been in what you didn't know how to push your handle and maybe now you've got a thousand or two thousand or three thousand hours in one and it's all old business to you but at one time in your life it wasn't so we've all been there but let's uh let's cut the Chit Chat and go on the time warp and just start clearing the driveways all we're doing right now is open up some driveways [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] just ordered the parts and whenever whenever you got a free day whatever so as long as it's on and we're good yeah where we won't take this off nobody takes this off we'll just I'll make sure it's not coming off yeah it is yeah it's gonna be difficult to get off that's it for today's snow plowing Adventure hope you guys enjoyed the ride and I have a quick question for you this video was more ride-alongs and in the cab and the snow plawn video before was a lot a little bit more time lapse and out of the cab do you like one or do you like the other let me know in the comments down below time lapse it or write along it tell me down below God bless go get them you guys catch you on another one hit that
