hey there folks this is Josh nonny Ridge farmer today is gonna be a different video it's gonna be fun it's gonna be awesome this is a building designer template on Mueller Inc this is from Muller ENCOM I'm in no way affiliated with these guys but we're designing our building for our farm here and I wanted to take you guys through the design of the building and get some feedback from you so please leave some comments down here let's go to the building and show you what we've got this would be the front side the side that's most likely to be approached so we've got a 12 by 14 door right here on this end and we also have a matching door on that end so that we would be able to drive straight through this is such a cool site right here guys I've never seen anything like it I'm really really happy with with the site as I'm planning my building so I'm going through here and I don't know if I'll be using this company or not but as I go through you can see that door right there and have already got me a nice dually truck in here that's pretty funny a nice Dodge pickup but that would be a door I could drive all the way through let's back back out here so we've got a I believe that was a twelve by fourteen and these are ten by twelve doors and this is a walk-in door it's approximately three by seven there's another walk-in door down here you can see that I have this all set up with windows a lots of natural light and want to have lots of natural light coming in and this is most likely going to be a second floor office area for Stoney Ridge Farm it's going to be the farm office in this door right here we would have a butcher shop that's the plan and we'd also have a door right here we want to make this space usable so we can hold classes here on the farm in this general area and this is a building size is a sixty by 100 with a 25-foot lean-to so sixty feet wide a hundred feet long with a 25-foot lean-to on here and we want the lean-to to go up as far as we possibly can this area right here would be used for cookouts and for family gatherings and for teaching classes like when we process hogs and we process chickens here on the farm so we'd have easy access into the butcher shop right here through this door and we can open this door and have air flow through the building on those hot summer days where you don't need to run the air conditioning but you could not get a little bit of air flow Gunners overhang so our overhang is 24 inches here and we could select that through the website you can select all your colors these are the colors that are matching everything else here on the farm I think they look pretty good we've got three by six windows right here and again this is another 10 by 12 roll-up door so we've got lots of roll-up doors and this is the drive-through door walk-in doors here and then on this end we basically just have eight windows and we may end up putting another two windows up here to let lots of natural light in very very interesting I've never been to this website and I thought you know as I'm putting this plan together maybe this would help some of you guys who are trying to plan out your shop and this is something that's gonna be part of my life for the rest of my life so I want to make sure that I'm getting what I want for sure so we're gonna be forking out somewhere in the neighborhood of the budget it's about a hundred and fifty thousand dollars just for the shell of the building now if you look inside here you can see I've got storage areas right here the windows are up a little bit higher we may do away with some of these windows and just leave the upper windows so that I can put storage racks in here we want enough space in between our garage doors right here that we've got a little widow room we can actually store some automotive stuff here and we want to have a lift in here at some point so somewhere in this general vicinity there will be a lift set up I'm not sure exactly how that's going to work but I'm in the planning stages and we'll also have some floor drains here floor drains there lots of floor drains and want to be able to service our vehicles on the farm and we want to be able to work on projects so also right out this door will be the area where our sawmill is is stored I'm trying to let it get get through there so here we are I hope I'm not making me busy so this is where our sawmill area will be our Solomon will be stored and we'll probably have some lumber stacked up here until we can get enough lumber stock but to build a building specifically dedicated to to lumber and I'm gonna start selling some lumber off the farm and some live edge type tabletops and stuff like that so I've got lots of fun projects to come here on the Stoney Ridge I just thought I'd show you guys this awesome template and what my design idea is for our shop now you guys let me know should I put another garage door here will I regret not having that garage door how should we go about that should I put another door in the end and have it to where both ends are wide open should I put another roll-up door over here I'm not really positive and I may relocate this guy will do away with some of these windows and I may relocate this guy too right here but that's it so this building is again it's 60 wide by 100 and it's set up in this configuration as a 20 foot tall building and this is the approach this is where the front of the building is I'm considering another window right here to get some more natural light but that's we know let me know what you think there are also polycarbonate panels that I can have put in here and I can have probably six or eight of those put on each side to bring in more natural light right up here at the top I considered those out here but maybe not in the inside of the building because we will have some LED lighting right inside the building and I hope so very cool check this out I mean you just roll the mouse and you can go right inside the building and check it out that is so cool such a cool website guys this video is a little different and what I typically do but I thought I'd take you through and show you something really cool how we're designing and brainstorming on the you building for the farm awesome thanks a lot guys I hope you enjoyed the video today please found the like button jump in here subscribe to the channel and we'll see you next time on the Stoney Ridge alright [Music] Pierce we've had some ways opposed to me Stoney read Oh
