Painting Walls LIke a Professional Painter: Start to Finish

What happens here

Before applying paint, thoroughly inspect the walls for any imperfections such as paint drips (referred to as 'boogers'), hard chunks of texture, or old nails/hangers. Use a 5-in-1 tool to scrape off any raised imperfections. For nails or hangers that will be reused, paint over them; do not remove and patch them if the customer intends to rehang items in the same location, as this can make re-positioning difficult. Ensure proper lighting to easily spot all imperfections.

Goal: Remove all texture imperfections from the walls.
