so today I'm out here in my mobile Booth the XL Booth with the psdr ID I'm going to kind of just uh give you another look at how we actually do a door so this is typically a setup you know I get a lot of questions on you know my social media about this it isn't just for one door I mean the amount of time that it takes to set it up it's not a significant amount of time but it does take time to set it up this would be I would say you know if you're doing uh like um door for entire house so I'm doing a house almost all the doors in this house you know so if you're doing like five or more doors I think it's going to be a very convenient setup for you and once again you can actually set it up I'm doing it a booth so I don't have to breathe over spray I don't have to breathe you know silica dust and um chemicals from paint cuz it's just being you know evacuated out my booth out of window right here so the PSD rid comes with you know these feet right here the feet you just install they just screw right to the bottom of the door it's not an issue nobody can actually see the bottom of the door they screw on pretty easily the the setup comes with those feet uh it comes with the whole unit that actually it is mounted on you'll see that in just a minute it comes with I do get a lot of questions you know how do I get it off of the psdr ID it comes with these two tools that are used to remove the the door so this goes in door plunger hole right here and then there's a device that attaches to the hinge hole that comes with the uh psdr id2 so it comes with a whole uh a whole bunch of them I don't even know put it in the description right here how many it comes with it comes with a bag with the whole kit so you can do quite a few doors and then it comes with a thing that installs right here with the hinge if you um don't have a center hinge like quite a few of the doors that I'm working with right now they only have two hinges on top and bottom you're just going to have to screw it right into the middle you'll somewhere where a hinge would go and then you're just going to have to spackle those and touch them up it's very simple and easy to do I'm going to be sanding these doors we want to prep our doors it's essential to really sand these doors they're not like six panel doors with wood grain like we typically see where um you know it really hides imperfections and flaws these are flat panel doors that do not hide imperfections and flaws you can see right here this is where your dog was your scratch it on the door scratch the door up quite a bit so we're going to be sanding it uh in my booth it's really nice cuz it's got a dustless uh sanding setup a 3x4 sander um is out here with my Unita ecosan um vacuum out there Unita vacuum that's a hepac it's hooked up there's almost zero dust when it comes to sanding when I'm doing doors I typically only use two abrasives I'll use a half a/2 inch open cell sponge abrasive just like this it's going to attach right to the sander and if I have to do any flat sanding I'm going to be using a pad saver film Tech or ecostorm a 320 grit to do the sanding there so I'll usually typically you'll either do 220 or 320 if I'm uh standing in between coats it's definitely a 320 sometimes it's 220 or um 220 or 320 you know just on the initial sand this door is in pretty good shape you know front and back there's no imperfections on it at all I've already sanded this with the flat erases so now I'm just going to go over the whole door and sand it with a half2 inch sponge and you'll see what that looks like now
