What happens here
Once the grain filler is thoroughly dry, use a 3x4 orbital sander, such as an Ekasand 3x4 sander, to sand the entire surface of the furniture. Connect the sander to a dust extraction system, like a vacuum, to minimize airborne dust and keep the workspace clean. Begin with a medium-fine grit sandpaper (e.g., 220-grit) to level the filler and ensure all excess is removed. Finish with a finer grit sandpaper (e.g., 320-grit) for a truly smooth surface, ready for painting. The goal is to remove all filler from the surface, leaving it only in the wood pores.
