Painting an Exterior SOLO Time Lapse. Airless Spraying a Full Exterior!
What happens here
The painter uses masking tape and plastic sheeting to cover all windows, doors (including glass panes and frames), utility boxes, light fixtures, and even parts of the landscaping. For large areas like garage doors, roll-out plastic with built-in tape or large sheets are applied. Ground cover, such as tarps or drop cloths, is laid out to protect driveways, patios, and surrounding areas from paint drips and overspray. Particular attention is given to ensuring tight seals to prevent paint from seeping under the masking.
Goal: Before any paint application, all areas not intended to be painted, such as windows, doors, trim, light fixtures, and landscaping, are meticulously covered and masked. This prevents overspray and ensures crisp, clean paint lines.
