One wall at a time. turning this garage into the ultimate diy workshop #diy #tools #home #tips

What happens here

After the first coat of paint is applied, take a moment to assess the finished wall. The presenter observes that the paint color appears lighter on camera (like 'baby blue') than its true darker shade in person, which is a common visual discrepancy. He transparently points out that the texture of the OSB is still visible through the paint, suggesting that skim coating the walls with joint compound prior to painting would have yielded a smoother, more drywall-like finish. However, he concludes that for a garage environment, the current finish is perfectly acceptable and functional. The presenter then outlines the extensive future plans for the garage, including working on the floors, ceiling, installing a well bay, ventilation systems, and electrical components, encouraging viewers to follow the entire build process.

Goal: Review the aesthetic outcome of the painting and outline subsequent renovation plans

it's going to need two coats. I know this looks like baby blue on camera, but I can tell you in person it is a lot darker than what it looks like. But, this just goes to show that if you do things right, it'll turn out somewhat decent. Uh you can definitely still tell that it is OSB. I'm not going to lie with you. I should have skim coated it. Maybe I'll try it on the other wall, but uh for this wall and for a garage, I think that this will work just fine. Um next is the floors, ceiling, well bay, ventilation, electrical. If you guys want to follow this garage build from we start to finish, go ahead and follow along and uh let's get after it. But anyways, I got a lot more stuff to do out here. So, I'll see you guys later. Peace.
