One of the funnest parts

What happens here

After removing the deck boards, proceed to dismantle the underlying structural components, including joists, beams, and support posts. Use a chainsaw or reciprocating saw to cut these members into manageable lengths. Carefully remove any remaining fasteners or hardware. Work from the top down, progressively breaking down the frame. If concrete footings or posts are buried, they may need to be dug out or cut flush with the ground level, depending on the requirements for the new patio. Continuously gather and remove debris from the work area to maintain a safe and clear space.

Goal: Remove all structural elements of the deck, leaving a clear area.
