What happens here
Once the site assessment is complete and utilities are marked, begin the active demolition. Start by carefully removing deck boards from the top surface. Use a pry bar and hammer to lift boards from the joists. For stubborn or heavily fastened boards, a reciprocating saw or chainsaw (as seen in the video) may be used to cut them into manageable sections. Work systematically across the deck, ensuring safe footing at all times. Place removed boards in a designated area for disposal or recycling.
Goal: Remove all surface deck boards and any attached stairs or railings.
