Not Just A Carpenters Pencil! ✏️ #carpentry #tools #diy

What happens here

The video opens with a demonstration of the HandyScribe pencil's core feature: its ability to scribe lines at different, precise offsets from an edge. By rotating the pencil, which has a cam-shaped profile (combining flat and round elements) and an offset lead, the user can achieve varied scribing distances, ranging from 1/8 inch to 7/16 inch. This feature aims to eliminate the need for a compass or other measuring tools for common scribing tasks on materials like countertops, tile, trim, or cabinets, especially when walls are not perfectly square.

Goal: The presenter demonstrates how the unique cam-shaped HandyScribe pencil allows for scribing lines at various offsets from a reference edge simply by rotating the pencil.

Here's 7/16's and everything in between just by rotating your pencil. So, what we did is we took the carpenter flat and the round and we combined them and offset the lead to be used as a scribing tool. So, now when you're scribing whether it's countertops or tile or trim or cabinets, your wall is never square. So, instead of going for your compass, all you do is rotate your pencil to your widest gap and you scribe your line. The cam shape gives you between an 8th of an inch and 7/16's and everything in between just by rotating your pencil.
