NO TILL DRILLING ON THE FARM....What you need to know!

What happens here

Access the seed drill's hoppers by stepping up onto the machine. The first hopper contains fescue grass seed. Consult the 'Chart for Drilling Grain in Pounds Per Acre' located on the machine, which indicates the correct pointer setting for various seeds and desired application rates. For fescue at 23 pounds per acre, the chart specifies a setting of '8'. The middle hopper holds tillage radish, and the third, smaller hopper contains timothy seed. Seeds drop from the hoppers into visible plastic troughs, then through flexible tubes, and finally into the ground after the soil has been opened by two disks. A roller then closes the soil over the seed.

Goal: Fill the seed drill hoppers with selected seeds and calibrate the machine for specific application rates.
