What happens here

The project begins with thorough site preparation, which involves clearing the area next to the house and removing any existing structures or debris. An excavator is then utilized to dig precise holes in the ground for the foundational supports. Helical piles or concrete posts are subsequently installed into these holes, establishing a stable and level base for the deck structure. A ledger board, typically made from treated lumber, is securely attached directly to the house's exterior wall, serving as a crucial structural anchor for the deck frame. The ground beneath the future deck is often leveled and might be covered with a weed barrier fabric and a layer of gravel or crushed stone for drainage and weed prevention.
