What happens here
Once all painting is complete and any touch-ups have dried, it's time for cleanup. Immediately clean the airless sprayer according to the manufacturer's instructions. This typically involves flushing the system multiple times with water (for latex paints) or an appropriate cleaner/thinner (for oil-based paints) until all paint residue is removed from the pump, hose, and spray gun. Failure to clean the sprayer promptly and thoroughly can lead to clogs and damage. Next, carefully remove all painter's tape, plastic sheeting, and drop cloths. It is often best to remove tape while the paint is still slightly wet but no longer tacky, as this helps prevent the tape from pulling off dried paint along with it. Dispose of all waste materials properly.
