[Music] now [Music] all right you guys well I am at the natda show and I am scouring the floor for the coolest tools gear equipment in the trailer world and we're going to start off with Tony how are you sir not bad how are you doing today doing good all right Tony so let's check this out the Trail gate protects your trailer and your tailgate so you actually are the inventor of this thing I designed this thing a while back um I'm a contractor Licious Builder it was the first time going at something like this my guys will open my tailgate smash my tailgate I got tired of it made one of the trash can next thing you know we're here so show me how it operates so this is a mark of a trailer itself up and it goes on different trailer jacks this is the locking mechanism it goes in this style this style I have a couple dollars I can do custom stuff because I am the manufacturer um pull it off to crank it put it on and this is enough to keep the Teddy from getting dinged yeah so on my website drug Co my son without he went and made a video a different product that we were using I was trying all kinds of stuff this is what everybody likes you know the thicker foam I like the thinner foam because of the way my trail my tailgate works so next thing you know I got people calling me so hey what's what is on your website he was showing smashing it and then he takes his hand and he literally smash it on his old tailgate is a little forward as a heavy tailgate work great all right tell me where to guys find this thing at trailgate.com it's it's a new website and we're still getting supports out of it all right guys I am in Iron Ox yes this is acelin how are you nice to meet you nice to meet you why are we looking at this thing so this is one of our beds actually pretty cool feature but I actually want to talk about this bed over here oh okay okay so this is our utility bed it is a seven tool box you get three toolboxes on each side they're pretty big very uh roomy it's pretty nice extra removable shelves as well so it's pretty cool oh these are roomy yeah you know when you say seven instantly you got kind of thinks oh well where am I what you know I know right right this is our seventh one it's just a shovel rack so you can just kind of throw some stuff in there that's a short-handed shovel that's the that's the shovels that I give to Zach can't do is our turnover ball you are still able to use a gooseneck trailer even though you have the twinkle little boxes in the back oh Your Hooks got your ball spinner off and she'll come right out okay aisling what are we looking at with this one yes this is our Bell spear option so we actually build it into the truck but itself so it's not sticking out and a really cool feature is our Bale spheres are stored into the bed so you pull it out hook it in and then you can just pull it up and this is all hydraulic so you're not actually lifting it exactly no effort needed so you pretty much you push the button you lower it down back up into your hay bale push the button in your cab pull the pull the hay bale back up and then you can drive drive off and that is by Iron Ox thank you all right Ron we've got a trailer that I've never actually seen before and I've looked at a lot of trailers will you tell me about this thing this is our model we call our Outdoorsman so you're gonna have a seven foot cargo area on the front and then you've got a 15 foot open deck on the back so you can haul it side by side a small car and then you can store stuff in here maybe you got some hunting gear or something like that lawn care service anything like that you want to haul lawn mowers on the back you want to put things that you you need to keep dry you can put inside the cargo box here God this is a gorgeous trailer this is amazing so your ramps are right in here yep trailer comes standard with slide-in ramps what's the weight rating on the axle these have a 4 000 pound axle we've done an option here to spread the axles and then we've done the uh the removable fenders here that way if you're loading the car on here then you can just take one Fender off swing your car door open so you don't have to take a full tandem axle Fender off when you spread those axles like that okay so Ron why would we care about this trailer what makes this different than a normal cargo trailer this is what we call our Sundowner contractor the biggest thing that's going to set this apart than any other trailer out there in the industry is going to be this 48 inch double wall side slat I beat this with a ball peen hammer and it doesn't show up on the outside that's what's in this trailer 48 inches high very very Stout rugged with the construction guys that are using this you've got extra roof bows in the roof for your ladder rack on top you've got solid aluminum tubing wall uprights no seat Channel no hat Channel and 050 aluminum size what's the name of this trailer this is the contractor model that's brand new matter of fact it's not even on our website yet but it will be shortly we're we're introducing it here to this show everything on this trailer is so much [Music] feel so aluminum you've got tools and stuff stored in here you're not going to be able to get in the store with a screw gun extra safety you've got on the outside of the door wow full catwalk up top so you can get at all of your ladders there and you can walk down through there you can get all of your ladders all your tools everything right up there by fours uh PVC pipe all that stuff you can score right there on top of the trailer buy Sundowner bye Sundowner all aluminum Sundowner Trailer Sundowner trailers doc just getting the website at sundownertrailer.com all right thank you sir all right you guys I'm with Trevor Trevor how are you that one so so hey Southland trailers they build you guys build dump bodies for trucks Oh yeah and you build your dump trailers the same way so this is the same this is what they do well that right over there is our big step deck that's a real that red comes out of the same Factory you'll see it here when we walk around yeah so this is 16 foot gooseneck dump with 12 000 pound axles and twelve thousand twelve thousand pounds so that's 20 that's a 28 800 pound GVWR so that's a Class A license right there right there so we build this too so we we build these as well as so it's a little bit of everything here okay but yeah you when you came down you use robots I see this robot so tell me about what the heck am I looking at why why is this on display at your booth TJ's a robot guy TJ what the heck did you bring so we use this uh robot for demos and for teaching employees how to uh to teach robots so how many of these have we got in effect currently all of our tailgates on our dump trailers are currently welded out by robots and my plant alone we have six welding robots building the dump trailers exclusively helps us get to our efficiencies that we need to hit well it's efficiencies and it's also operator safety right operator safety and consistency so this is this is where you when you need the accuracy and you want to keep the guy safe you put the robot there and then when we we always put robots in places we don't like to be so okay we're doing overhead welding or painting overhead that's not a fun job so we always put robots and play just like your dishwasher at home you don't like to wash dishes so you bought a robot dishwasher it washes the dishes yeah so they got rid of the torsion springs you know and just went to a gas strut like that shock so now we've got a six foot beaver tail well 12 foot ramp overall with a low deck because of the pierced cross members right engineered beam so the same way that our step deck over there you know it's the same theme as this the same engineered beam underneath the engineered beam what Trevor is referring to is this Notch out right here yeah yeah yeah so an engineer sits down with the beam and says that it needs to be stronger bigger thicker here and lighter over here so we save weight I don't need to have I-beam this big running the entire span because half of it's a waste and all of it is extra steel a guy that spends the money on this step deck and we brought this load down from Canada the guy that spends the money on this step deck to haul behind a semi-trailer he gets paid for what he delivers not for what he's Towing empty so that trailer needs to be really strong and as lightweight as possible so that you can maximize your payload and that's the truth with every trailer we build how do I maximize payload how do I get the most payload into it I want your trailer too how do I get the most into it while I'm not adding weight and weight adding unnecessary weight right right just adding more Steel adding more steel no it doesn't it doesn't always answer the the problem and that's by Southwest it's like that that big trailer comes out the door the factory just a few feet away from this trailer and a few feet away from dump trucks and dumps yeah all sorts all there you guys make it off it's all there and we've got a lot more coming by Southland because I'm coming up to your deck of the way you're going to be there I'm going to put your operation I'm going to take you guys behind the scenes to actually see how all these uh robots work how you guys manufacture these trailers um and we're gonna go from there right it's gonna be great all right so make sure you guys hit that subscribe button and come back because we're gonna actually see these things putting the trailer together absolutely all right let's go see the next Winger Truck Yeah buy a bigger truck [Music]
