What's up, guys? Everyday people ask me, "Hey, how do I take the test to become an electrician? What do I do?" Well, here's my tips for that. Number one, you just got your letter saying, "Hey, you're approved to take the test in your state." Celebrate. This is when you go out, you take your family to dinner. This is when you go and have drinks with the boys. This is a time for you to have a major celebration because you've made it. Tip number two, obviously you're going to need the code book and certain other supplemental material books. Get the books and get the tabs for those books so that you could quickly open up the book to certain sections of the book without having to thumb through it. Tip number three, you need to make sure you know where you're going to go to take your test. Often it's a company called Pearson Vue. Pearson Vue has its own computer system. Make sure you watch a YouTube video on how to use Pearson Vue computer. You will need to know that to determine how much time you have left and where you're at in the test. You don't need to be wasting time learning that when the test has already started. Learn the system at home so you're ready when you sit down.
