Lay Geotextile Fabric in Trench

What happens here

Line the bottom and sides of the excavated trench with heavy-duty geotextile fabric. Ensure there's enough overlap on the sides to completely enclose the pipe and gravel later. This fabric prevents soil from mixing with the gravel and clogging the drainage system, while still allowing water to pass through.

Goal: Protect the French drain from soil intrusion.
