Maurice Petty's Engine Shop: A Working Museum of NASCAR History! (Petty Brothers Racing)
What happens here
The tour moves to an office area, originally part of a building constructed in 1971 for Chrysler Kit Car racing teams. Due to economic downturns in the 70s, Chrysler pulled out, and the building became a storage facility. In 1991, the Petty family moved their shop here. The office is adorned with historical photos and artifacts, including a picture of a Rusty Wallace car, which is shown later in the video. Other items include old racing helmets from the 1950s to the 1990s and a signed flag from the 1979 Daytona 500, autographed by racing legends like Maurice Petty, Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Donnie Allison, and Junior Johnson. The presenter explains the difficulty of getting Cale Yarborough's signature.
Goal: View historical artifacts and learn about the shop's origins
