Master the Art of Rasping Like a Pro!

What happens here

Begin by securing the horse's hoof in a comfortable and stable position, ensuring safety for both yourself and the horse. Using a hoof rasp, start filing the bottom edge of the hoof wall. Apply firm, controlled strokes, focusing on removing overgrown material and beginning to create a rounded 'mustang roll' shape. Continue rasping at approximately a 45-degree angle to bevel the outer edge of the hoof, working from the bottom upwards. This initial rasping sets the primary shape and reduces the overall length of the hoof wall.

Goal: Reduce hoof wall length and begin shaping the 'mustang roll' from the bottom.
