Mad Max Dodge Challenger Custom Interior mods including leather seats custom door panels
What happens here
To upgrade the door panels, first remove them from the car. This typically involves removing screws hidden behind trim pieces and carefully prying the panel away from the door frame. Once removed, the old fabric inserts on the door panels need to be replaced. Tape off the area where the new material will be applied. Spray a contact adhesive on both the door panel and the back of the new leather or vinyl material. Once tacky, carefully position the new material onto the door panel. Use a precision knife (like a hobby knife) and scissors to trim the excess material, creating clean edges that can be tucked into existing channels on the door panel for a flush finish.
Goal: Replace cloth inserts on door panels with new custom material.
