LSXcalade Transmission Ultimate Destruction + Biggest Upgrade!

I think is worth noting that nothing gets easier you just get used to it and I don't mean that like a depressing way it's just that the transmission blowing up in the Escalade at one point was something that really put me in the dumps like it just just ruined my whole mode for a while it was just it would beat me down now I don't even care like it's just something take it in stride get it fixed keep going now I got 18 other things piled on top of that and I'm not freaking out whereas a year and a half ago the transmission plus something else was happening freaking out so that's just it's all part of the growth and I think that's really cool that if you approach a project car with the perspective of being an avenue for like making yourself better and growing learning lessons and it's very very effective and something I'd really recommend well that worked yeah whatever was jammed in there got crunched and taken out so I tried to start this thing to have power steering while he was flat telling me and it locked up like it rolls fine and neutral unless the motors running and then it locks up like it broke the strap locked up and park still works so I was really hoping it was a transfer case but it's not because if it was the transfer case we'd be Park wouldn't work anymore so this is not good I've never witnessed debauchery quite like this from a transmission or driveline and failure to the point where like pulling this thing out weird like bust something loose to get it out this is just bad this is a big one let me tell you what we might be down for a bit guys because if I'm breaking planetaries or something major like that they're gonna break in a turbo 400 - because it's the same same stuff so if I need a big shaft the oven that's a big money come on man move your freaking piece of stool transit van well you ready to do some dragon back here at triple7 basically what we got to do here is not get stung by bees first of all but move my truck and trailer out roll the Escalade out and it doesn't move so we're gonna have to flat toe it up the little ramp back there into the building because my trailer is too big to make the sweep to get up the ramp vehicular Tetris yeah see there's the ramp their normal car you could push it up but this is too heavy to push it's terrible it's like more muggy in here than the the spot between your thigh and your ballsack right now well I got the transmission out I didn't film any of that because I'm kind of on a time constraint when it comes to getting back to Pittsburgh to do the transaction on this trailer the other guy buying it wants to use it for a race next weekend it's just they were taking me 20 salong with film everything and I took it out it took about two hours pull it out there it is ready to go and what I'm doing is leaving the Escalade here triple seven and the route from Dallas to Pittsburgh happens taking right through Cincinnati which is more or less where extreme amount of Acts is there in Amelia so I'm gonna drop off there Lana's gonna go through we're gonna figure out what the heck happened we suspect that it may have chunked the planetary which would be best-case scenario because that means that it's just a power game now and I need to get better better client services that believe that's one of the only things in there that's not built yet because planet Billa planetary gear sets are expensive and generally people don't break the stockelman so either that or the low band could be fused to the reactor drum something of I remember specific splint [Music] it doesn't have it very much but what could be is sometimes there would be noise and ECU where it'll sound like 2 or 3 volts to the transbrake solenoid not enough to come up on a test light or whatever but enough to crack pressure through that solenoid it'll drag that band on the drum until it burns up or like Jesus to it or something like that that's just a rough translation from what I remember about that conversation but we don't know what happened to it until we open it up so that's all speculation I'm just filling you in on the process you can speculate with me ready to go get a load of that stuff up into the old stallion here and head back up there do the deal I'm probably gonna try to buy an open trailer all in the home I gotta sell my dually - but my dually is worth way more money out here in Texas / Oklahoma that it is back in Pennsylvania so I got to bring something back with me so when I sell that thing I have something to drive because if I'm racing the Escalade still it's not gonna be dependable as daily transportation because I'm a probably break it's being honest I wanted to bring the Monte Carlo back with me but I guess the carport I headed in at my shop back home went freakin gone with the wind and just like took a freakin cinderblock down the whole side of my car so like it flew up and one of the blocks I had helped them hold it down got thrown into the air and just don't this it's bad it was real bad that was pretty beat up but for a while but luckily it's covered under insurance never any of that taken care of which is another thing that I got to deal with when I get back home so either way I'm trying to add another car of the fleet and this may not work out well because the Monte Carlo will get redone it'll be nice ready to go on top of all that since I have the trailer solar I've been living in the trailer when I'm out here so when it's gone I won't have a house which means I got a scour the internet hard to find a Motorhome I'm looking for primarily like late 90s promote or Newell coaches [Applause] is that Cooper spaghetti never mind but yeah so I gotta find one of those hopefully or I'm ready to come back out here I'll find one but if I don't then you know I'll just I can crash on John's couch or something until night but either way it'll be a quick sing yet everything's up in the air right now it's a lot to deal with but it's times like these where the the set up lobe of everything it's all shaken up and it's flying around big mess stuff is everywhere but when it all setup one else starts to settle back down that's when it that's when the that's the cool part that's when you have to fun and start to materialize like the new chapter so to speak I went through a similar level of stuff flying around everywhere when I'm happy at this perfect trailer last year because I put a deposit on a trailer before I had a truck that could pull it so that was a mess but I did it though that ended up being one of the best boobs that I could have made and it served me very well so after a lot of driving we are at Bob Wright corporate employee now it's extreme automatic set in outside Cincinnati Ohio with nothing in the trailer but the transmission so dropping it off and the way back to Pittsburgh and yes collide still in Dallas my bats kind of sore but this is like it's been a while since I've pulled a long haul like this before a couple of months last time I drove this far was when I went to go to Nevada to see Dale Earnhardt's motor home went there I thought it was a buy one over there but and I'm not there when he was there it was gonna be there like every time I talk to them I felt like I was getting interrogated by the frickin CIA and it was always my fault anyways that's what they told me they never took responsibility for anything so this is the place to be so I'm just now rolling back into Butler which is the town that I'm from one class I've ever lived I've been here nine months and it is so weird how different everything looks I'm not even to my house yet I haven't been like I'm not even there this is stuff I used to look at every day every day and it all looks different now all of it it feels like smaller I don't know like I'm seeing things that I never saw before and saying things that I have seen in from like a different perspective I just can't wait to get all my ducks back in a row and get back out to the Midwest and do stuff because I'm really reminded why I wanted to leave in the first place and yeah it feels like I just went into a time machine just step back like two years you want to see some carnage sure I had them send me back my blown-up ear set so this would be innovation of like a month later so this will all be the same video from when it broke and then I took it out and went home and all that oh yeah that well messed up there nice with a piece of a gear in here well how about that what I'm gonna metallurgist but he said it yeah it looked like it ripped the teeth off and then just ground them up yeah and the thrust loading one thing led to another say these are this is all blue oh yeah because those gears are cut helical yeah they press into this where the new ones are their billet but they're also straight cuts so there's no thrust loading on that she helped a lot yeah in the village we're gonna get that stuff back in here now literally almost a month later on the dot after I pulled it out here when Pennsylvania got all my ducks in a row came back here however you know we're gonna stuff is back in get back to racing old triple seven poppin well we got it all put together we three of us made myself and I back together as you not all the way back together but bracele vacuum on beat it's a million degrees here it's super humid really sweaty my head hurts there's a TF in my hair really living it still got to put the charge pipe back on down pipes inner fenders that baloney stop off fluid and all that but we're getting there I'm gonna do that tomorrow because I just don't want to do it right now I just don't at some point you're better off drawing a line between should I just plow through and do this now or go to bed get a good night's sleep get up what I'm supposed to and do it then which one's better in this case it's do it tomorrow after I sleep in some cases you do it now but this is not that time I'll fire it up since triple seven getting rolling at GG 450 is gonna be a serious machine it's got sweet flat lemon intake they just did some nitrous and a cam in this our key charger which is something I've never seen before I've never seen somebody do can do one of these like I've seen you on the internet but I've never like I actually witnessed it myself I'm really interested to see how would a how it sounds and how it runs with the cam and the nitrous and they change the gears too I'm not I'm not sure exactly what the ratio change was but to do the bump it should be interesting you don't particularly see people mod those things beyond like both on Lisa 5/7 and 1450s is waiting on it waiting on its motor to come back before we can get chopped on turbo systems for it and that's it just gonna add a bust an ass I'm trying to upload everyday now I'm keeping up with it I may miss a day but I'm still on I can go until something happens where I'm just like there's no way I can't blow today and that's in a super well but every time I went to seem a PR I liked his part of the group was hanging out and that he was basically solely responsible for me getting my first ever sponsor and wolf aircraft the whole story where I slept on the hotel room floor friend Randy at that my very first PRI and 2016 I put my play little air mattress in there well Christian was the other guy so he was always like he was always there and that that the whole wolf thing was the first time I talked to him which is Randy said okay you should talk to Wolf aircraft like the response to her people and I think they they helped me out and I'm like well who do I talk to you over there he's like I don't know ask Christian he knows so I've a message Christian on Facebook and he's like yeah yeah you know it's it's this guy I guess oh he looks like it here's his number like it's real active on Facebook you can message in there pretty much like walked me through his like tell him I told you to talk to him like whatever so I did and well it was all about they're like yeah will supply your tubing for the Escalade and I was like that opened the floodgates for me because I then I no longer had a lot money for tube and once I did that the sponsorship training really started rolling because I did it I did it once with that and it was like applied it there I could do it again I could do it again it was like a truck like I was like I was hooked on it was fun and Christian got that ball rolling for me a little over a year and asus he found out about diagnosis of brain cancer today was it that's it like he found out right after PRI right after I was hanging out with them I shared a room of them at SEMA in 2018 and then that PRI everybody was hanging out and right after that it's when he found out and just like you're an athlete that's I bet him know all the stuff I thought and how thankful I was for the role he played in getting my ball rolling this is the the insightful posts the e main on Facebook during through this whole process was really eye-opening for me to hear somebody face for that situation like what they think about you know he was very transparent about it and it really really cool I learned a lot watching that i'ma roll my window up suck it well Christian had this 69 Camaro that it was like his project car and Dora when I was starting to build mine he was doing his and you know he'd ask me about parts and I try to help these guys use this this is good this isn't good and whatever he was just and early I think it rolling on those things was sitting here forever like I want to drive it and then the whole the world came crashing down the guys from speed society went and took his car I was a garage and they did like a no budget insane build on it so he could like she really wanted to drive it while he was still around and then eventually give it to his son and they did a killer job on that car twin-turbo after market block deal like super just insane car and he didn't he he got to drive it and I think that that's really cool they did a whole video series on it I'd recommend second uh it's really it's really a heavy it's just it is for me because I know the guy that happens they just wouldn't feel right if I didn't say so about it Christian appreciate you paths crossing maven brief but the lasting impact of that interaction cannot be quantified
