LSXcalade Post Race Week Cleaning & Test Fit New Wheels for Uncle Rob Yukon! (Its Gonna Look Killer)

did not forget about the escalade if you're wondering today is the first time i have touched it since i unloaded from race week literally just took it off the trailer parked it have not touched it since then and i'm washing it right now it's still got all the bugs on it i didn't watch it at all during race week i didn't even wipe it off like i just let all the road grime build up you know builds character that kind of stuff you know spills methanol on there it's got all kinds of crud back here uh you know black black dust from who's your life you'll have that my pressure washer was not working and i'm like what the heck is really making me mad because it's been doing this it'll just like it's not the breaker it's nothing and i noticed that this piece here was loose it wasn't until i started shaking it beating around because i was mad at it that i noticed it came completely off and i see that this little u-clip staple deal is not on there so i'm thinking this has a wire running to it that goes up to here where the button is it must be some kind of actuator that you know lets that through and engages the motor so i'm gonna see if i can fix that if that will fix this problem actually i could probably just bench test it right here i'm gonna hold this down and see if the button yep that's it if i lift this up i bet it yep that's why and i'm pretty sure i saw a little u-clip somewhere that i didn't know what it was for i know i did i can't remember where i saw it but i saw it you know what i could stick in there and see if i could find like some you know mechanics wire or something just twist tie it up get that fixed so i can actually wash this dumb thing i found this random piece of wire laid on the ground it fit in there just right and it holds it on there so this will get it done for now and then i'll trim this later but i just want to get it get it off because i already sprayed the bug remover on there i don't want it to dry now we get to do the fun part foam cannon i'm basic all right if you're like a detailer or something you've got all kinds of tips for me you can make a comment i'd appreciate it if you made a comment just because it helps the algorithm thingymajingies but just know that i don't really care it's wrapped i wipe it off a paper towel sometimes it you know it's a race car by all means though if you want to come clean it for me i'm more than happy i'll take a video you're doing it you can explain your business my personal detailer but i can't afford to pay anything so and yeah you might make fun of my freaking fryeburger flip-flops but out here everything's getting wet my feet get soaked because when i get into the rhythm of pressure watching something i'm just like in it to win it and i don't care what gets wet like if i'm spraying a wheel and i'm getting the dirt out and stuff and then it comes back and sprays me in the face i just stand there and take it because i'm just i'm freaking cleaning this wheel until it's clean that's you know this is how i am so i hate having wet socks so i'll wear these deal with it [Music] gotta let it bask a little bit just to get it all off it's no sun out here not really worried about water spots you know the deal so it's all rinsed off and everything now but i just want to point something out look at uh these are the new tires back here the whole holding air thing they don't appear to have any bubbles coming out of them and the front ones are the old ones because i only bought two and you can see where it's still letting a little bit of air out it's not perfect they hold a lot better than they did before i soak them wd-40 and put the soap on the inside and all that but they still do leak you're never going to completely get rid of that with an old tire once it starts to dry up but this one you know i need to get the other two tires i just haven't yet because i'm poor if people watch these videos more i can get news tires sooner basically how that works this is my full-time thing now i gotta cut costs where they can be cut so i could put fuel in my tank to continue to go places and do things pretty much so if that means i gotta fill my tires up you know every other day so be it i'll do that so i can go do another build over there for you guys to learn things from what's better doing that and teaching things and expanding and educating on that process and documenting that so people can learn things from it or me not having to fill my tires up with air twice twice a week it's pretty easy to me take the extra effort do the other thing instead [Music] now we get to put all this away yay triple seven okay the escalade was a lot more time consuming and labor intensive than i thought because when i continued into things i tend to get really into things so you know i pressure washed out the engine bay and underneath all that stuff so i'm thinking i'm not gonna start the downpipe tonight because when i fap stuff i'd like to put myself in the right frame of mind and just cleaning all kinds of stuff being all you know in that mode is not not fabricating mode in my head plus it's just too late i don't want to start it if i can't finish it so what i'm gonna do is polo uncle rob inside here unload it and we're going to test fit my new wheels and tires for it which are i've had them for the esc they're actually gmc 18s and i have freaking big old 325 hoosier dr2s on them with d.o.t drag radials that i had for the escalade but now they're going to be on here i'm just going to test fit them on here they're not going to go back on until it's turboed and it deserves them because i'm not going to drive around with four drag tires in a freaking stock yukon that makes 315 horsepower if that we're just gonna see what they look like get a little teaser for what's to come mostly because i freaking cannot stand those wheels i hate them so much i hated them when i was seven and i hate them now too they're just terrible somebody in a boardroom somewhere had all these designs of wheels on a table and they put them out there and these highly educated well-respected boardroom guys at gm gmc picked up that design and said yes these are good let's put these on freaking everything they're that good was it the same guy who designed the aztec or approved it how did that how did that get through who thinks these look good please let me know the first person to make to watch this make a comment make a freaking thumbs up comment for those suck and another comment thumbs up for those are good and we'll have a vote poll see what see which one does better because i'm genuinely curious before i do that though i gotta wipe out the little water out of the bead lock rings here otherwise it'll dry and leave a water spot when i just polish these things right before race week so that ain't gonna happen and it's the most annoying thing about these bead locks is that every time it rains or gets wet water pulls up in here and leaves like a ring you can kind of see there's residual one that i didn't polish out the whole way i mean i didn't hardcore polish them but you know i did my job it's been so long since i've looked at this thing it's been like clean clean well really i didn't even clean it before race week i just kind of wiped it off really i didn't wipe it off that well but you know it's even with especially with a wrapped car like it's just got a different glow when you give it like a good old good old hand wash so we glowing right now for sure i'm gonna keep getting the stuff out of here so we can test fit these meats check these things out look at that would you just look at it these have been in pittsburgh the whole time i've been gone because i let my buddy justin sable borrow them for his pro charge denali for drag week last year but i got a for a lady in here already for this thing the transfer case i bought for the escalade came with this thing that was one of those things it was just a total steal i found it on facebook marketplace the 4l80 with the converter and the transfer case bolted to it get this for 350 bucks and allegedly it works too we'll find out so i bought the whole thing and just took the transfer case off spray painted it black through it and escalade it's been fine ever since and this bad boy just been sitting here and i bought an hd2 kit for it like early last year because my thought was i'll bring that thing around as a backup for the escalade in the early days kind of in the earlier year when it was low on power or lower on power if i really really needed to between events i could throw the hd2 in there get that in and just run it on like six psi or something just to participate [Music] this is really cool i'm not gonna lie i like wasn't super pumped up about this thing off the bat anyway just because it was so boring looking but man these wheels on here i'm i'm pumped to get this thing turboed and going fast because it looks cool you ready you ready for this check this out boom dang that is some stance those look so freaking good on there oh yes it just works those could not be any more perfect for this thing it looks so just just right you can tell that back part needs a buff it's not as bright as the front for some reason i don't know why that front may have been repainted when i don't i don't know the other side was but that one wasn't it may have gotten buffed kind of match everything and they were just like i screw it i'm not sure what you think about this right here race week 2021 who's gonna drive that one really what i should do is have all three of them race week in 2020 which means i need to find two co-pilots i think that's a reasonable goal to have both of those built functional by uh june of next year oh yeah i got like 9 months that's easy yeah we're going to do that assuming i have both of those ready to go i'd say both it's in the 03 uncle rob and not pictured the 93 named of the george but that's still in pennsylvania assuming i got both of those ready yesterday's ready to rock i got three long boys ready for race week 2021. who do you think i should have drive the other two leave a comment let me know for the you know the deal decals i have those in stock i made a bunch more of those because i make a decals myself and i gotta i gotta package those and get them out i'm still waiting on the shirt order to come in um the same place does my shirts it does the streetcar takeover ones so they're in kansas city and they ship them here they should be showing up any day now so if you've ordered a had to order more and they're a little backed up so take a little longer than usual to get them but that's not gonna happen again i promise i'm gonna keep more in stock i got new styles coming up it's this it should be posted already most likely uh i filmed it uh big club is gonna be in it along with uh some other stuff so they kind of took my footage and you know integrated it with some things and had you know cloud filmed a piece of it it's gonna be pretty cool i can't wait to see it because i actually haven't seen the finished product either so go check that out it's called truck central and
