Logan Learns How To Wire Relays! LSA Monte Carlo & Turbo Escalade Test Drive

What happens here

The presenter explains that the transmission's battery voltage pin on the standalone harness connector has no power. He previously tried using solder heat shrink connectors which are prone to failure when hot. He then bypassed the existing wiring by cutting the wire near the connector and running a new temporary wire directly from the battery's 12V supply to the connector. This temporary connection allowed the transmission control module (TCM) to power up, indicated by a ringing sound.

Goal: Identify the source of the transmission power failure.

Tools and materials

  • Multimeter or test light — Checking for voltage
  • Test wire — Temporarily supplying 12V power
  • Wire cutters — Cutting the problematic wire

in here last video couldn't figure out the problem somebody actually a handful you guys either commented or sent me messages on instagram saying those solder heat shrink connectors that were on there whoever that the company that made the standalone harness used those will come apart if they get hot and even though they look okay they're not to test them anyway so i thought okay i'll try that real quick the pin that has battery voltage like just battery voltage pin whatever i looked up on the thing had no power at all on either side of that connector that they used now and i traced it all the way back up to as far as i could see that wire it had no power i don't know where in here it's losing connection but instead of figuring that out i cut the wire and ran another one from the connector straight to the 12 volt of the battery just to see what it would do if i plugged it in so we got like this bench testing going on here can you hear that ringing yeah i can
