What happens here

The farmer then drives the ATV down the gravel driveway, through a remote-controlled gate, and off-road onto a gravel path leading to the pasture. Along the way, he notes that driving the same path repeatedly in the soft ground creates a 'mud hole' and requires him to adjust his route to preserve the grass. He parks the ATV and prepares to de-energize the electric fence.
