Like a real carpenter. You get it...

What happens here

Utilize a Kreg Jig pocket hole system to drill precise pocket holes into the designated edges of some of the cut wood planks. These holes will later accommodate pocket screws, providing strong, hidden joinery for the mantel assembly. A drill/driver is used to operate the Kreg Jig.

Goal: Create hidden fastening points

Tools and materials

  • Drill/Driver — Driving the Kreg Jig drill bit and later the pocket screws
  • Kreg Jig Kreg — Creating angled pocket holes for hidden joinery
  • Wood Planks — The components into which pocket holes are drilled
