Scrape Excess Flakes

What happens here

Once the epoxy base coat with flakes has fully cured (typically 12-24 hours depending on the product and temperature), use long-handled floor scrapers or stiff brushes to remove any excess, loose, or vertically standing flakes. This step is crucial to prepare a smooth surface for the clear topcoat and ensure a comfortable, even finish underfoot. Sweep and vacuum the loose flakes after scraping.
