What happens here

The presenter highlights the orange Frog Tape, specifically the 'Pro Grade Orange Painter's Tape.' This tape is for everyday use, both indoors and outdoors, particularly in new construction. A key feature mentioned is its lack of the outer polymer layer or 'PaintBlock Technology.' Instead, it seals when liquid paint comes into contact with it. He demonstrates how this tape, despite not having PaintBlock, prevents paint from bleeding underneath during spraying because the paint isn't being forced under the tape. It has a 3-day release time, so he cautions against leaving it on for longer durations in new construction, recommending alternative tapes if removal extends past three days.

. This is the tape I use. Tape for everyday use indoors and outdoors in homes. It's a tape for everyday use that I would use in new construction, and so I use it quite a lot. This orange tape typically doesn't have the outer polymer layer, the paint-blocking technology, and it swells, preventing the paint from penetrating underneath. It works differently than, say, the blue tape. With the blue tape, you can see the polymer; it's a white powder on the outside that swells when it gets wet. This will give you more defined lines when painting against it. In new construction, we spray everything and no paint seeps under the tape when spraying because you're not forcing the paint against the tape, and so a production tape typically works very well throughout the house when doing new construction. It has a 3-day release. If you leave it for more than 3 days, don't use production tape, which is, I would say, more common for new construction workers to leave their tape on for more than 3 days. I strongly recommend that if you don't remove your tape on the same day, you use a
