how to resolve fish eye in your finish. So, I just sprayed a custom door, black on one side, brand new custom door, vinyl door. It got fish eye cuz of a contamination somehow that got on it. So, what I did to deal with it, I primed over the fish eye with BIN shellac primer, shellac-based primer, and then I reshot it. But, prior to doing that, I used Filmtech 320 plastic abrasive from Uneeda to sand out the volcanoes created by the fish eye. You don't sand them out, you're going to see them just as bad when you reshoot it. So, I used Filmtech uh 320 to sand. After I shot the primer, which is really thin shellac-based primer, I used a very fine 1/2-in Equisilk sponge to sand the primer cuz you want to make sure that's actually smooth before you shoot the second coat.
