What happens here
Matt introduces another new model: the John Deere 650 P-Tier Dozer. This small dozer (part of the 450, 550, and 650 series) features significant updates. The hood has been lowered by 5 inches and restyled for improved visibility to the front of the machine and closer to the blade. Inside the cab, joystick controls, previously found in mid-size dozers, have been integrated, replacing the traditional steering and arm movements with rocker switches for changing directions. Comfort features include a heated and ventilated seat, and automatic temperature control. The cab itself is 14% larger than previous models, providing more space. Technology-wise, it includes a touchscreen display with integrated grade control and a rear-view camera. For the 450 model specifically, the DEF system has been completely removed, simplifying emissions. All P-Tier EH (Electro-Hydraulic) machines will feature a new 'Easy Grade' function as standard, designed to make it easier for new operators to achieve smooth, graded surfaces. This system is already shipping to dealers.
Goal: Learn about the enhanced visibility, controls, and technology in the new 650 P-Tier Dozer.
