John Deere's New Equipment

What happens here

Finally, Gregg presents the John Deere 335 P-Tier Skid Loader. This new skid loader is specifically designed to handle more hydraulically thirsty attachments, utilizing a Pressure Compensating Load Sensing (PCLS) hydraulic system. Unlike previous open-centered systems where unused hydraulic flow would generate heat, the PCLS system electronically adjusts pump output to match the attachment's exact flow requirements. This results in improved fuel efficiency, reduced noise levels, and better multi-functionality, meaning the operator won't lose the ability to raise the boom when running a demanding attachment like a mulcher. John Deere is currently showcasing prototypes, with dealer orders expected late summer/early fall and production starting soon thereafter. This model is larger and more powerful than previous versions, offering 118 horsepower compared to the previous 100 horsepower in their largest G-Tier model. It's positioned as a premium-priced machine due to its advanced technology and increased performance.

Goal: Explore the enhanced hydraulic system and performance of the new 335 P-Tier Skid Loader.

All right. Let's go see the next one. All right. So, Greg, this is a brand new skid loader that John Deere is uh going to be offering. Yeah. Um it's our 335 and um basically it's designed to uh handle more hydraulic thirsty attachments. So, um higher flow than high flow. Higher Well, I I don't know. Um we just sort of say higher flow than our flow today. Okay. Um but we revamped the entire hydraulic system. We're going to a more sophisticated um close loop centered hydraulic system. We call it PCLS. So it's pressure compensating load sensing um technology. And um basically what we had previously was a open centered system. So when you weren't using all the flow to turn a drum, like say you were using 50% of the hydraulic aux flow, the other 50 would just go to tank and it would just be in a loop and it would create heat and things like that. So now our pump only will electronically go as fast as required for the attachment on the front of the machine. So you're going to get the customers going to get better fuel efficiency. They're going to get um better noise quality levels with the PCLS hydraulic system. Um they're also going to get better multi-function capability. So one of the deficiencies we had with our open center is um as you're running a very thirsty attachment like a muler or a coal planer milling machine um all your flow is going there and you would lose the ability to raise your boom for example but your functioning of other hydraulic systems would um be would deteriorate. So with this system better multi-function capability as well. Is there anybody else that's using this kind of a system now? Um there it's common place to be more of the lower cost open centered system, but there is another manufacturer that I'm thinking of that does have that. They're similar colors as us. So, so there's only one other brand that is running this system. When is this system available? Um so these machines are these are our prototypes. We only get one chance every 3 years to show the world. So we brought these here to show the world. Um today um we're expecting if if our testing goes well, we're expecting that dealers will be able to place orders for our customers um late summer or early fall and then uh we'll start production and hopefully we can have these available for customers later this year. Do you know if there's going to be a price increase because of those changes? Yeah, the technology um this is a new model so it will be our premium priced machine.…
