I've been doing it wrong....But nobody is teaching this about farming!

What happens here

Gather the necessary mineral supplements. The host displays bags of Phosphorus (labeled 'FCE P'), Calcium (labeled 'Ca'), Sodium (labeled 'Na'), and Chloride (labeled 'Cl'). These come in 25-pound bags. Using a bag of FCE Phosphorus as an example, open the bag (which contains an inner plastic bag for protection) and carefully pour the mineral into its designated empty compartment within the mineral feeder. Refill all other depleted mineral compartments as identified in the previous step.

Goal: Replenish depleted mineral compartments to ensure cattle have continuous access to needed nutrients.

Tools and materials

  • ATV Honda — Transporting mineral bags to the feeder location
  • Yellow Bucket — Holding tools or other supplies during transport
  • Calcium — Supplementing calcium, often lacking in soil
  • Chloride — Supplementing chloride, often associated with salt intake
  • FCE Phosphorus — Supplementing phosphorus, essential for root growth and pasture yield
  • Sodium — Supplementing sodium, often associated with salt intake
