Installing Exterior Window Trim. The Idaho Painter Way.

What happens here

Before painting, carefully mask off the window glass and any adjacent siding areas using painter's tape and plastic sheeting to protect them from paint drips and overspray. Once the area is protected, use a paint roller to apply an even coat of exterior primer to the new trim. Follow up with a paintbrush for cutting in and reaching any areas the roller might miss. After the primer dries, apply at least two coats of exterior paint in the same manner, allowing adequate drying time between coats.

Goal: Apply a fresh coat of paint to the newly installed and sealed window trim
