(19,993 characters)Dylan, what are we looking at? >> This trailer when we were making this. >> It's a dump. Because I was looking at the puppy. I was looking at your dog. Doggy. [Music] Good morning and all. It's the start of NATDA. I think that stands for the North American National Trailer Associ. I don't know what the hell it stands for. I still get it wrong after 4 years, but I don't know what we're going to be seeing. But we're I'm going to take you guys into the show with me and we're going to see the newest innovations in trailers. I got my mansack filled with batteries and my belly filled with coffee. So, I think we're ready to go. Let's go hit the show. All right, we're standing outside. The main door is getting ready to go in. And now one thing I'll tell you about this show is the first time I came here about 4 years ago, >> the main hall was maybe half to 3/4 full. >> I came back the next year and the hall was full. I came back the third year finally with an invite and the hall had grown out into the uh the outside of the hall. The show had grown outside of the hall and now this year, fourth year, not only has it grown outside of the hall, it's in the streets. This thing is growing phenomenal. There's new companies coming in all the time. These guys have never been here before. >> Just so much to look at, so much to find here. So, I'm going to take you guys along for the ride and we'll see what is new. What are we looking at with this one? >> This is the buyer strobe kit that we've got here at the trailer show. If you take a look at that remote, we just turned all the DOT lights on and turn them on as safety lights. >> Think about your landscapers. Think about your rental companies. >> Take a look at our small module. This is the trailer strobe kit right here. >> Yep. >> Think about this is your truck. So, it's a seven-way plug plugged in here to that module. And that module plugs into the trailer. >> Okay. So, you plug a module into your trailer and you have access for >> all of your strobe lights. So, small trailers, big trailers, all the all the DOT lights turn into strobe lights on this trailer now. >> So, if you broke down on the side of the road, you have a better visual indicator of >> you got equipment that you're unloading and loading off the trailer as well, too. And you're not having to add a whole bunch of extra strobe lights. So, when you're stoppled over, it's a great solution. >> Perfect. Where do guys find this at? >> Go to buyersproducts.com. You can check find out where our closest distributor is to your area. >> Thanks, Mike. Appreciate it. >> I think what's important to know about that is you can separate the tow vehicle from the trailer. So, if your trailer breaks down, you're leaving it behind. It's not left behind in the dark being a hazard to other people. This unit should allow the flashers to continue to operate, but this is not unique. Now, I noticed on a number of trailers that you'll see in this video, they have the capability of doing this separately. But what makes this product unique is that you can retrofit it onto other trailers is my understanding. But check it out first in detail before you pull the trigger and buying one of these kits. >> Horizon has something new going on. John, what do we got going on now? >> Yeah, sure thing. So here we have this here our CHZ model. It's our new car color model. So yeah, we have this new design. It's the slant neck. Also the toolbox, the neck boss. So it's pretty big. Good good storage in here. As you can see the batteries, everything is in there. And also if you move back here, so 102 wide, the winch and ramps. So yeah, there's many features you can upgrade it on and so forth. So, we're 102 in wide. Does it have drive over fenders? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, you got somebody klutzy. They're not going to smash your fenders on you, right? >> Exactly. >> Okay. And this is a dedicated car hauler, John. >> Yes, sir. >> That's correct. >> It looks like you have a new kind of a dump trailer as well. A low-sided one that I'm not I've never seen it before. Tell me about it, John. Yeah. Well, this is it's not new, but it's not as known as our some of our other models as you can see. Yeah. It also has the slanted neck and also the the neck bus. It comes standard with all of our new models. Now, if it's a bumper pull, right? >> Okay. And also, well, this is our triacle one. Yeah. 7k axles. And if it's a triac, it comes standard with the telescopic uh cylinder. >> And yeah, we got the crank over tarp. It's an add-on feature. And also, yeah, obviously the rounded famous horizon sides >> makes us unique from any other brand. You don't see this anywhere else, >> right? So, >> yeah. >> Right now, this one has been out, right? >> Oh, yeah. This been has been out quite a while, but yeah, the triacle uh most of our triacle dumps, they I don't know, for some reason, they go to Canada. The Canadians love them. >> Uh but also some to the US, but yeah. And also, yeah, the back the the door is diamond plated. Also have rounded sides. Yeah. Got the earrings open the open the doors on the floor. Yeah. One plated floor. Very nice. One plated floor. Very good. >> And that's by Horizon. >> All right, guys. I'm at Southland Trailers booth and I'm with Scotty. And what is new at South? >> Oh, there's so much new here. Come on in and we'll show you what's up. So, limited edition dumps throughout this year. We got some mountain dump in the top here. We got the graffiti dump on the top as well. And then we got the blackout edition dump. So, these are limited edition. You got to get them while they're hot. And then we also got a couple new features on these dumps. First thing is the rocker design. So, as you can see, they actually have a rubber top on it. So, that's going to quiet the load, dampen the load, make your suspension even smoother. And then they also have a a spring design in here that when it actually rotates and slips back and forth on the back end, it's actually on a grease lubricated roller system, which makes it even smoother as well. And then if we come around to the back side of the dump, this is going to be the best feature. We got a couple different features here. So, typically you just have a normal gate, right? With this one, you can actually open it up and use it as a pharaoh gate like that. Spread your dirt here and a nice beautiful line. Nobody can do that in the industry. You can close this up. You open this up and give it one more latch. Close it up. One more here. >> Come on, girl. Not a Close that. You can see that gate actually pull. >> So, every time you're latching your gate, you're now realigning everything and you're not you're not depending on the sidewalls anymore, >> right? >> You're grasping and pulling it, >> right? Cuz everybody in the industry kind of gets worried that when you actually load these suckers up, the walls bend or things bend and bolt, whatnot. So, they're always worried about these doors pulling apart. Well, with this, you can actually see the doors move and they actually get lined up. and pull. >> Do that one more time, Scotty. >> And you can actually like see the doors like move. So the And this is with no load in it. And then you actually put them together like that. Right. >> So now that that's done, you can lock it up and be safe. And then I got one more feature. You can actually pull the pin here. Pull this pin here. And now we have a spreader gate. So we can spread all the way through that way. And those are a slam latch. So time is money. So you always want to quick and easy. That's >> Are you okay? >> Scared me a little bit. >> Okay, so that's the triple way gate that we got here. And then we put a nice galvanized piece on top or stainless steel piece on top for the actual pin. So when you open these doors up and swing this, that pin actually hits on top there and it's never going to chip the paint or wreck the paint. Oh, and it's liquid paint, not powder coat. >> Oh, yeah. That's a big difference. Your Ford F-150, well, you guys are real, man. So, you're driving a 250 or a 350. >> Uh, those are those are not powder coated. >> No, every vehicle on the road is not powder coated. They're all liquid paint. So, that's why South uses liquid paint as well. >> You use the same process. >> Same process. PPG paint, worldrenowned, right? And you can color match your truck. >> Yep. 100%. We can put a special flake in it and make it pop. So >> awesome. That's new by Southland. >> Yeah, you betcha. Always trying to push the envelope. >> Okay. And one thing about Southland I'm going to share with you guys, Scotty, I'll let you I'll let you tell. I got to be the first person to come up to Southland Trailers. >> Yes. >> And I've been to Milwaukee Tools. I've been to all these other manufacturers. >> Yeah. And I don't know how comfortable he is with me telling him telling this story. >> It is the most hyperefficient wellrun manufacturing company I've ever been to anywhere in the world is the globe. >> And I didn't realize how committed your entire team was until one of your engineers and I can't remember his name. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> You know who I'm talking about. What's his name? >> I think Seth is. >> Yes. Okay, that's it. And Seth gets super. He goes, "Stan, stand." And I'm like, "Yeah." He's like, "I saved 8 square ft in this building." And I'm like, "Woo!" I'm thinking 8 square ft. It's like the size. He's like, "Do you know what that means?" I'm like, "No, what does that mean? I can build one more trailer a day." >> Yeah. And that's when things started to really I really started to click for me how committed your company and your team is to the to this hyperefficient productivity and quality control that I've seen anywhere. >> Yeah. The main manufacturing processes, right? So Toyota way, we've read that book about 100 times over. I suggest it for anybody in the manufacturing industry or any industry. It's just making things more efficient and uh making the workspace clean, safe, and yeah, if we can save 8 square feet, we're going to save 8 square feet. >> But I've heard other people say they do that, >> right? >> And then I've gone to their shop. >> Well, they don't call that. >> They do it a little bit here. They do it a little bit there. >> Yeah. >> But the only city I've ever been to that was even close to you was the flat chickens, Pennsylvania, where the entire inside looked like a hospital was pure white. We weren't allowed to film anything >> and it was unreal. >> And then I go to you guys and I'm like, this is like the >> Yeah. Well, the trailer world's always been an archaic world, right? We're trying to bring it into the 21st century. >> Yeah, we're getting there. We got one. >> All right, let's do something. We got a lot of show to go. Let's go. Neil, what are we looking at with this one? This is our new lowp profofile tilt deck that features an interlocking decking system that is structural to the unit that creates this lowprofile transition for loading purposes. So with a typical model and this is a typical model right here, you have about well you have this much space that you have to compensate for. So you can never get that flush with it. So you've actually made the decking itself as part of the structure of the trailer. So you can have almost a zero clearance, inch and a half of clearance. Yes, that's correct, Stanley. This is an interlocking decking system that is proprietary to Black Rhino that provides us with a low profile uh transition for loading and uh a nice dampening system as well. parts of the thing all in your SMBs and uh ATVs and fourwheelers. I'm going to crawl under here, Neil, and take a look. So, this is the structural system that he's referring to. Now, here is a nonstructural deck side by so you can see >> that there is a lot more that goes into this system. Now, is this out? This is uh being highlighted at the trailer show and yes it is uh we're now just releasing it uh for trailer show special. >> So this is the first day anybody's ever seen it. >> This is the first time anyone's seen this particular model. That's correct. >> If that that's worth a thumbs up, isn't it? >> Yes. >> I mean I don't know. That's got to be worth a thumbs up. You're seeing it here first. >> Seeing it here. >> And this is made by Black Rhino. >> And they go You have a dealer network across the United States? >> We sure do. We have dealer network throughout the entire United States and uh if anybody has any questions they can get on our website at blackrhotra.com. >> Thank you sir. Glenn, what are we looking at with this one now? >> This is our brand new steel hydraulic lowering trailer. It's 83 in wide, 18 ft long. You can tie down anywhere into the deck. >> So the entire deck is a tie down system. >> Yeah, pretty much. I mean, this is designed to to carry cars, any anything from your barn fines to your race cars. >> So, you have it designed to be almost a zero entry trailer for low clearance cars and things like that. >> No ramps. It's got a 4° angle. You just drive straight on. >> You guys are from New Zealand. >> Yeah, we manufactured them in New Zealand. We have uh two assembly parts here in the US. >> How do guys find these trailers? >> You can find them online at shiftertrailers.com >> or also futuratraers.com which is our parent company. >> Shifter or Futura. >> That's correct. >> All right. And as you guys can see, she's completely remote controlled. Thank you, sir. >> You're very welcome. Thank you. >> Dan, what are we looking at with this? >> Well, today we got the new magnetic bucket. So, you're going to mount this right on your front of your mower. It's just magnetic right here. So, it's going to just drop right on your deck. It's very strong. You can see it'll stick to about any metal. Has a holster. You can actually put your trash grabber in. So, that's what it looks like. It has a softsided uh rope handle, so nothing's going to rattle or anything like that. It's a just a great little time saver. >> So, you mount it on, you just slap it on the front of your lawn mower, drop it on. >> It's not going to It's not going to vibrate off, >> right? It's right in front of you. Just take grab your trash grabber and grab your trash. Drop it right back in. >> Where do you guys find this at? >> Trailerracks.com. >> What is it one more time? >> Trailerracks.com. >> Thank you, sir. >> Guys, I'm at the Diamond Sea. I'm with Dylan. >> Yes, sir. >> And this is brand new. >> Yep. >> No one's been I've never seen this done before, Dylan. >> No, it's pretty nice, too. It's going to be very useful out on the the campsite, wherever you're going. So, we got a little latch under here on your PSA gate. >> You flip it up, connect it, and it turns into a 90° table. So you can put your grill up off the ground, cook, keep everything nice and clean. >> So you take your t your normal trailer and turn it into a tabletop trailer. >> And that's coming out or is that out? >> Right now. It's being built right now. If you go build your PSA online, you'll get this with it. >> All right. Thank you. And where do you guys find this at? >> Uh website? >> Yes, diamond.com. It's going to be standard on the PSA. You don't have to worry about it. It'll come with your trailer. >> Okay. Is it an option on other trailers though? >> Not yet. Right now with the biffold gate, the GTF car hauler is the only other gate we have a biffold gate on, but for right now it's only on the PSA. >> Now, does this also act as a ramp? >> Yes. So, yeah, this gate is a ramp. Uh, obviously, you don't want to load it up as it's 90°, but under your latch, fold it out, and it comes down just like your regular gate. >> Awesome. Thank you, sir. >> Yeah, no problem. >> Regular gate. >> Yep. locked and ready for transport down the road. >> Transport down the road is going to be folded all the way down. >> Okay, >> so that's transport. >> There you go. And now you've got a tabletop. >> It's ready. >> And that's new by DiamondC. >> Yes, sir. >> All right, guys. This is the Rice trailer. And this is Josh Rice. Hold >> on. >> And you have a brand new hydraulic dovetail that has a very unique locking mechanism. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, auto locks more or less. So, operate these hydraulics. Comes down. Hear it release right there. >> Okay. >> So, we go down to the ground. Boom. Stop. What am I What are we looking at for the auto lock? Explain it to >> here. You've got your cam feature here. You've got an inch and a half rod right here. >> So, this thing, what we're going to do is we're going to actually over center this thing where it actually goes in and this will lock when you go over center. >> Okay. >> So, go up. And you can see right here, this is going to get straight. Boom. Over center right there. And then that's all locked in there. So now there's nothing to flip. Nothing to double check. No >> an operator as long as he goes all the way up. >> Yeah. >> He's locked. >> You're locked. You're locked. And then when you want to come down too, that's why we have wireless too on it. A nice wireless remote on here. So three, four, we go down. >> So you can actually hear it click out. >> Yeah. >> And that's supposed to do that. >> Yeah. And then so now like on this remote too, what's kind of cool, we got strobes. So, we're strobing this for the show. Those would actually be on. And then we got strobes. So, whenever you want to load, like say you're broke down or you're loading at night or whatever, you can activate these strobes. And they're completely uh >> from the truck. You don't have to be hooked up to the truck. This thing will >> It's self-contained. >> Self-contained. Yeah. System has battery. >> You bet your your your trailer breaks down, but it won't cuz it's a rice trailer. >> Yeah. >> And >> Exactly. So, uh, >> so Johnny runs over a big rock and flattens the tire on the side of the road. >> Yeah. >> And now you can disconnect the truck from the trailer, leave the strobes on. >> Absolutely. Yeah. >> So now you have strobes that allow people to know that you're safe on the side of the road. Yeah. >> Without a truck being >> It's just a simple concept, but you know, they're all LED lights, so they real they flash real fast. We can even control the rate of the strobe, too. >> And another thing that Josh is a is a very lowkey kind of a guy. He won't brag about this. I've been to his facility. All Americanmade. >> Absolutely. >> You use a combination of skilled technicians and robots in working in conjunction. And every time you add another robot on, you're adding more skilled labor to try to keep up with the robot. >> Yes. Yeah. Absolutely. >> So, you make sure that all of your manufacturing is very precise and to the point. And the reason I know all this is because I've been behind the scenes with all of the guys…
