INSANE Kitchen Renovation On a Budget $$$

What happens here

The video shows the installation of a new sink (6:45-6:55), faucet (32:22-32:44), garbage disposal (32:44-33:23), dishwasher (33:23-34:44), microwave (34:44-35:50), and range (35:50-36:13). These installations generate packaging waste (cardboard, plastic, styrofoam) that should be broken down and sorted for recycling where possible, or placed in the general waste dumpster. Any offcuts or damaged flooring materials, old fixtures, or even the water line extension that was too short (32:44) become part of the waste stream. Budgeting should anticipate these smaller but cumulative waste items, ensuring the dumpster service is adequate for both bulk and ongoing smaller refuse. The goal is to avoid accumulating debris that could impede further work or become a safety hazard.

Goal: Account for waste generated during flooring installation and fixture setup, including cutting scraps and packaging materials.

[Music] it ah Dam dang what was going on I mean it looks like had good pressure oh I wonder if the it was been cold in here I wonder if the uh the mastic the tilid eive didn't didn't dry all the way through it didn't cure I don't have heat in here so I'm using my propane heater it probably needs more time to [Music] cure well folks I learned a valuable lesson here number one one I didn't consider I never even thought about the fact that how much longer tile adhesive or mortar needs to dry when it's a cold environment like this winter season so I've never known that it's a hard lesson to learn and um I'm going to put that in my pocket for many projects later that hood was a tough pill swallow but trying to do my best to move on here stay positive uh and nothing will make you more positive than a really cool brass faucet here [Music] backwards I got to get an extension waterline which I don't know why they make these so short even if it was directly underneath it it would still be short the only time it wouldn't be short if it was right in the wall which is dumb so I got to get an extension for the water lines but uh let's start bringing in our dishwasher and see if we can connect our water lines to that let's see where the drain hose is there it is this is a Home Depot purchase as well probably the cheapest stainless steel uh it's a GE why is there water in here do they do like a test cycle or something better not be at return it looks I mean it looks put together [Music] but I'm going to do the satisfying part that's not it Just that's just Yellow Tape that's the satisfying part we got Big Boy appliances in here ordering the micro is a real hoot because they give you the dimensions but I don't know how perfectly accurate those dimensions are apart from you actually measuring the microw wave and then building your cabinets you know the measurements were not bad had um I gave myself a little bit of wiggle room for it to slide in and out I think I kind of anticipated the worst case scenario having to build out trim but this is not bad at all I'm going to bump it out so it matches my face frames and door faces and then uh I'll put a little trim kit so this can open and close conveniently all right I'm really excited about this range cuz it's an electric range and most of the times they're ugly because the controllers are in the back right here you know there's a little panel here so I found this range that has controls in the front they're a little bit pricier…
