INDUSTRIAL PALLET WOOD TABLE
What happens here
After the barnwood planks are all securely in place, thoroughly sand the entire surface of the tabletop. Use a random orbital sander, starting with a coarser grit (e.g., 80 or 100 grit) to level any uneven spots and remove loose debris, then progressively move to finer grits (e.g., 120, 150, or 220 grit) for a smooth finish. Connect the sander to a shop vacuum to minimize dust. The video shows two different sanders being used, including a Festool Rotex and a DeWalt orbital sander.
Goal: Achieve a smooth, even surface on the barnwood tabletop.
