Operating the Compactor for Paver Setting and Movement

What happens here

With the vibratory plate compactor positioned on the paver, activate the machine to begin its vibration. As the compactor vibrates, two workers (as shown in the video) use the machine's handles to carefully guide and maneuver the paver. One worker typically pulls while the other pushes or guides from the opposite side to achieve precise alignment with adjacent pavers and to settle the paver into the underlying bedding material (e.g., sand). The vibration helps to bed the paver evenly and create a flat surface. This technique is then repeated for subsequent pavers, with each paver being placed and then adjusted using the compactor until the desired pattern and levelness are achieved.
