What happens here
Once the ledger board is in position, use a cordless impact driver to drive the first long construction screw through the ledger board and into one of the vertical support posts. Drive the screw until it is fully countersunk and the board is firmly pulled against the post. This initial screw helps to temporarily hold the board in place.
