this chrissy idaho painter here on paint life tv today i got a really cool video i'm going to be taking you inside my trailer i'm going to show you how i organize things how i set things up to paint fast and efficiently get a lot of questions and comments about what's inside my trailer so if you want to see what's inside how i paint quick fast efficient stay tuned for this video all right here we are my trainer right here first question i've already got asked a lot of questions on my social media what size is my trailer it is a 6x10 it's small so i had to make this thing very efficient with the size that i had i wanted something that i can actually stand up in so i'm short and i can actually stand up in it with just bending over just a little bit but i'm going to walk you through it i'm going to take you all around this trailer i got some really really cool things um really cool tools really cool ways that i hang my tools set them up and you know make them so i can get to them quick and efficient part of painting fast and efficient is being able to get your tools find them without digging through heaps of drop cloths digging through heaps of tools and drawers and stuff and trying to find things that's just taking you you know two minutes three minutes five minutes it all adds up over time i got everything right where i can see it right where i can find it and every day at the end of the day it goes right back where it went the uh where i got it so that way i can always find it so i'm going to get you and i'm going to start you right here on the right hand side i'm going to walk you through the trailer one one time just to show you some of the things on how i hang and display my tools or make them available and then we're going to go back and talk about some of the tools talk about some of the products that i use that make painting fast and efficient also so let's get in here i'm going to get the cameras closed and we're going to show you some of these really cool things that i've used over the year to hold on brushes hold tools and stuff so let's go inside the trailer all right here we are inside the trailer i'm going to start from the top right here and this is a really cool way that i hold my brushes i like my brushes to be out exposed i wash them and clean them i want them to dry quick and efficiently i use these um type push connectors where i can hang a brush either upside down or right side up however you want but these things are absolutely amazing i've held my brushes attached my brushes to all my vehicles and bands and stuff in this fashion i've got all my brushes right down in a line right here using that type of device here's another really cool device and this is a magnetic device these things are just screwed on here and these hold simple little tools right here magnetically and they're easy to find easy to access these all these tools and products or not tools and products but all these like hangers and stuff i get these at my local hardware store so this magnetic device it's really cool i've just used cup hooks right here to just hang some lead test holders right here just a a simple little cup hook that you can hang a lead test kit from right there i've got a um e-track system right here this is an e-track system and i purchase it online from i think it's a trailer company like um cnm trailers or cj trailers i'll put it in the video where you can see where you can buy this e-track system this e-track system is absolutely amazing you can buy all kinds of design devices gadgets baskets things that you can hold tools in i can see i got baskets that i can see right through them so i can see what i got i've got boxes just like this that hold spray cans and stuff like that so those this is the e-track system holds all kinds of other devices you can see magnetic holders right here the e-track system i use little gadgets like this to actually hold my maskers so my maskers just hang up there so the e-trac system has all kinds of devices hangers um there's square looped and so forth and it's absolutely amazing e-track system on both sides of the trailer so i've got basket holders all down here i've got e-track things holding simple little tools just like this that's another type of e-track holder so that's um get this thing back up inside here you can see they just attach very easily you can move them all over just the e-track systems coming all the way back i've got another type of holder right here that just holds um all kinds of tools putty knives and stuff and this is just a little kind of pen type holder right here that you can just stick a lot of tools have little holes in them just like this that you can display and hold those things in you can see right here the vehicle takes and um as i'm driving it moves back and forth and stuff and a lot of these tools will actually bounce off and fall off so i just use a little bungee type cord right here and that actually keeps all these things from falling off so i'm going to put this back on here they've you can see i've got on the bungee cord i've got little gator gator eyes gator lights led lights hanging there displayed so i've got up on top of the roof same type of system that holds my brushes that holds all my extension poles it holds things like my inner fed roller right here here's an inner bed roller so those things are all attached so my extension poles inner fed rollers tools that are very sensitive that can break really easy they got ends like this the hide spray pole they hang right up here out of the way and they're not going to get broken then i come back here to the back of my trailer i've got i really like tupperware's to house things i've got tupperware's right here that have all kinds of products in there we'll tell you a little bit about organizing that once i walk through the trailer here on the back i um display and hold my rollers using the same type of device that actually holds my paint brushes all in the back that cruiser along here on this side you got my e-track system on this side holds um you can see it holds extension um your gun extensions i got all my gun extensions displayed on that same type of device it holds either the e-trac system has little things like this i can hang um things where i got to trim plants occasionally so e-track system all kinds of cool little devices on here just cruising right along e-track you can hang it horizontally you can hang it vertically i got e-track system hung vertically right there right here is cardboard shield holder every painter got a sprayer this is a must-have device got a basket right here you can see how this basket will house all kinds of stuff like my um my respirators my hearing protection my gloves it holds all that stuff that's my ppe stuff right here got the same type of device right here that holds other miscellaneous tools just kind of like a wire holder that holds displays tools got both sides up here that got thing tools hanging up i even got magnetic tools that hang and right up there on the supports of the trailer e-track system actually has devices right here ratchet devices that i can secure my sprayer where my sprayer won't roll around so it's really cool you can hook things to the floor with e-track you can hook things to the sides you can hook things to the ceiling so that's all kind of a lot of the devices i'm using the really cool things i'm using to actually hold mount display my tools and accessories to make them quick and easy to find now i'm going to walk you through and show you some of the really cool tools and unusual things that i use on a day-to-day basis or even just every now and then that make painting fast and efficient i'm going to walk you through how i use those devices and organize my tools to make things you know fast and efficient i have all my brushes displayed up here on this device that holds my brushes so my brushes i like to have them all separated by the type of brush what they do and um and so they're easy to find i have right here exterior brushes riverdale brushes are in my exterior brushes i get into like my montauk brushes which are interior brushes and can be used as exteriors i've got hamptons which i use just for trim and touch-ups only i'm moving down to some other specialty brushes i have but then i got stain brushes because i'm doing all kind of all types of staining too and this device will even hold you know small extension pulse i got an extension pole small one right there that i'll use but i've even got hanging up here my deck boss um this is a deck brush that everybody should have so it's a great great brush i did a review of that brush so if you don't if you've never seen that thing used you gotta check that brush out so that's how my brushes are displayed i can get to them fast and efficient they're going to hang and dry easily i always i like to keep them in their covers as long as i can get coverage you can see some of i've lost the covers but the covers will help keep their shape now i'm going to walk through and show you some other really cool tools right here now i've got a magnetic device here some of the really unusual things on this magnetic device i have a set of tweezers i usually kept keep a set of tweezers in my tool bag if you're spraying a door and you ever get a bug or a beetle that lands on the door or a leaf trying to get it off with your fingers is very very difficult to do but some of the um just the the drill bits and accessories that you use for drills just day in and day out for gutters your quarter inch bits downspouts taking those off here's something this is a little unusual having a safety pin hanging on my device now if you can guess what that is um for leave it down in the comments section below and i'm gonna pick a couple people that i'm gonna give out um three gift certificates to my paint life supply store let me know what the heck i have a safety pin on my magnetic device for and i'm going to give out three 50 gift certificates but that magnetic device here's two more magnetic devices i got my wrenches right here um right here i got scissors i like to trim my my rollers as i use them the edges of them to keep them trimmed so i have scissors to trim my rollers i've got a hammer i've got all my drip are not drills but screwdrivers you got different screwdrivers or different things every now and then i need a chisel but here's another thing a hinge pen remover right here hanging on there using these things every day just about doing interiors and exteriors to remove doors if you've never seen this thing used before this is a must-have tool for any painter so get one of those things have that thing ready that's in my tool want to know what's in my tool bag that's another video so check that out coming soon so now coming down here looking at these things i've got multiple um containers right here that carry spray cans spraying roof jacks on top of the house is just that added touch um i always lube my extensions and my guns every single day that i use them so i keep and stuff like that when i'm spraying house numbers i'm going to be painting the house numbers just an added touch to that house that has brass numbers that's just old and outdated i've got multiple different primers that i use for different things and so i've got access to primers right here so you want to have primers you want to have like shellac primers oil-based primers water-based primers they're all in here um ben is a great primer for eliminating fisheye on cabinet doors when you're spraying cabinet doors or spraying trim so have that i've got a drill accessory i like to label things so i know what's actually in these containers this is for drill accessories only so all my drill bits go right in here my drill hangs on here nicely here's something you may not have thought about but having mace every now and then you're gonna run into um a situation where you may get attacked by a dog it's happened to me several times once a pit bull so um in those situations where you need mace to fend off a dog have mace with you here's everybody needs a um a tape measure when you're doing trim so i'm going to walk you down show you some other really cool devices right along here and um what they are also all right we're looking down here um in our miscellaneous container we've got just carry some some unusual things like bug juice we put bug juice and paint to kill flying and crawling insects you're going to need if you use a respirator that's like a silicone type respirator i like having alcohol to clean my respirator every single time that way it's fresh you know when i put it on i keep things for cleaning my guns like an old tube old toothbrush or wire brush um just some simple little things uh in here i like to keep suntan lotion and hand um protector i really like workman's friend hand cream so i put that on you know every time i go out to start spraying and stuff and it just makes cleaning your hands up at the end of the day a lot faster and easier bondo glazing putty if you don't have any this you really need to get some of this and i've got videos how to use bondo glazing putty when it comes to painting cabinet doors over here let me show you some of these baskets how i've organized this basket right here with like see-through type of devices i'm always using odds and end things like a wire nuts when you're taking off um somebody's lights and you drop one in the grass or something like that and lose it wire nuts you've got um cuff hooks for spraying cabinet doors i've got gutter screws and i actually like to label the tops of them so i can see what's in it on the top and i can also see through it right there what's inside there a thing that's really cool is i found them on amazon and i'm going to try to get them in my store which is frog tape touch-up cup holders these things work amazing so here's one thing i keep in my vehicles is um golf tees and golf tees are an amazing little thing to fix stripped door hinge screws so if you've never seen that video how you use a golf tee to do that you can um see that so we've got things hanging down here simple things like this is a sprayer saver every painter's sprayer if you've used a sprayer you need a sprayer saver i just drilled a hole in it so that way i can hang it and right there so it's easily found got things you know for my trailer so when i park my trailer i need these things to chalk the trailer so it won't move right here i drilled holes in them so they'll hang right up simply and easily down here just got stuff displayed just my um you know um two gallon buckets cut in buckets they're down here on the ground roller buckets i got these really cool devices which are for you know um the e-trac system and they actually will hold you can see they'll hold your extension cords i like to have a lot of extension cords i've got three right here held on there but the e-trac system also holds my a caulking gun so i just hang them right on here i usually have multiple caulking guns hanging there so um i got things here's every if you haven't seen my video on using these things so the roof boots from pivot must have tool i used five of these on a house um that i did that i would have had to spend a lot of money to get a 60 or 80 foot lift on these things made it so i can paint that house without a lift i've got four of them hanging right here on my e-track system um see we got what else i got some chisels down here oh here's something unusual and this device is used when you go to commercial buildings on the outside there's faucets and stuff like that to turn on water they don't have handles because anybody would be able to just walk up turn it on and then you could just turn it on and walk off and leave it on in a commercial building you wouldn't even know it on the outside so they have what they have is a key and this device will make it so you can turn on the water at commercial buildings and i can't there's a few times i was out of commercial building needed to power wash it there was no handle i needed a key didn't have one and that becomes a big inconvenience so get yourself a commercial key i just got it at a local hardware store um for doing um that in this basket up here 3m super 777 adhesive for hanging plastic when it comes to making spray boosts and stuff like that i've got latex extender additive hot days for putting in your paint so it dries slower or eliminates brush strokes i like the glosser for cleaning and deglossing trim when i'm spraying the interior trim i do have cleaners right here degreasers and stuff and paint wipes just in case there's an emergency or i need to clean something it's right there readily available up top once again i think i said in the beginning i display you know these long items um extension poles and stuff like that that way they're down they're not down the ground where you're stepping on them breaking on them simple little things here's a um wand right here spray one for my power washer that has a spray flex on the end you know that's that could hang up here i've got multiple spray um spray poles hanging up here but i've also got multiple sizes of extension poles that i've got hanging up here out of the way it's pretty cool they're up here out of the way never in my way and and they're not going to get broken so i'm going to take you back here to these um wire type holders and how i got these things set up and unusual um in an unusual way but there is um here's a device a light you're gonna need your light every now and then this is a pretty powerful led light from um milwaukee right here just never know when you're gonna need it it's just hanging displayed right there on the e-track system but let's check out this wire holder that i have here right now once again i had to come up with a solution because when i started driving the trailers could hit bumps and stuff like that and things like um like move back and forth and my putty knives were falling down and stuff like that so i came up with a system that i tested it actually works you know really good and it's just this little simple little there was one hanging right there and now the little guy is gone but it's oh there it is i'm a bungee cord this was an extra one so the simple little bungee cord is how i resolved this problem and so the bungee cord you know when i want a tool i just released the bungee cord see i've got all my uh level type five spackle knives the best spackle knives and putty knives that i've ever used right here so they're all displayed available i can see exactly what size a jab saw i've got um stainless steel ones then i also got just plastic throw away ones that i use every now and then also but and then i just when i want to put it back up put the bungee cord on and it's amazing because that bungee cord keeps those things they've never fallen off with a bungee cord i use um gator eyes every now and then when it's dark i can light up my trailer it's amazing they don't look right here but these things are extremely bright at night here's one thing that's kind of interesting with these gator eyes you can stick them on a brush because they're magnetic and you can light up if you're painting in a dark bathroom new construction there's no lighting or bad lighting you can sit there and cut in you know with a gatorized light really weird i mean there's a lot of unusual things hey you know what if you're in here it's dark at night need some light to find things you can use the gator eyes to find those things but i'll show you which i found online this really cool device magnetic led light so these magnetic led lights don't look bright here but at night they're extremely bright and…
