I SCREWED Up pouring the live edge slab. #1/2

What happens here

Once mixed, carefully pour the clear epoxy resin directly onto the live edge black walnut island slab. Ensure an even distribution, starting by filling any natural cracks, holes, or voids within the wood. Use a notched trowel to spread the epoxy across the entire surface, aiming for a consistent thickness. Simultaneously, use brushes to thoroughly coat the live edges and any vertical surfaces, ensuring complete coverage and a smooth transition. This process is repeated for the main kitchen countertops using colored epoxy.

Goal: Apply epoxy resin evenly across all countertop surfaces.

Tools and materials

  • Brushes — Coating edges and hard-to-reach areas
  • Gloves — Protecting hands from epoxy
  • Mixed Epoxy Resin — Coating the live edge island countertop
  • Notched Trowel — Spreading the epoxy evenly across flat surfaces

part a and part b epoxy resin now we used colors to create our countertop which you see behind me but in this case we're using the exact same material with no color just as a clear resin finish those holes are going to eat up a lot of our resin i almost just let the bucket sit right upside down right in that area right yep almost there troweling this out we don't try not to push too much off to the sides we can brush that on i think it's just gonna spread that out hmm what doesn't smell not like that
