I have no one to blame but myself! Challenges of Mobile Sawmilling!

What happens here

The host points out that one of the sawmill's stabilizing jacks was damaged during transport. He retrieves a new jack from the back of his flatbed dump truck ('Tater'). He also gets a Husqvarna Power Axe chainsaw, carriage bolts, and a Flex Tools impact driver, anticipating needing them. He then attempts to attach the new jack to the sawmill frame. After the initial attempt, he realizes the carriage bolts he bought are too short and needs longer ones to properly secure the jack. He briefly shows that he will need to return home for the correct size.

Goal: Replace the broken stabilizing jack on the sawmill

Tools and materials

  • Carriage Bolts — Securing the jack to the sawmill frame
  • Flex Tools Impact Driver Flex — Driving and tightening bolts
  • Husqvarna Power Axe Chainsaw Husqvarna — Cutting logs (though initially forgotten for milling, it's shown as available)
  • New Sawmill Jack — Replacing the broken jack for mill stability
  • Nylon Locking Washers — Preventing nuts from loosening on the bolts
  • Wrenches — Holding nuts while tightening bolts
