I am so glad we just went with the clear coat!

What happens here

Before beginning the staining process, ensure the wooden porch ceiling is clean, dry, and free of any dust, dirt, or debris. If necessary, lightly sand any rough spots to ensure a smooth finish. Cover any surrounding areas, such as walls, floors, or furniture, with drop cloths or painter's tape to protect them from drips or splatters. Set up a stable ladder to safely reach all areas of the ceiling. Although this preparation phase is not extensively shown in the video, it is a crucial prerequisite for a successful staining project.

Goal: Ensure a clean, protected, and safe work environment for staining.
