I have a feeling that the video you are about to see could get me permanently banned for filming at any Husqvarna booths or events, period, no doubt about it. But that won't change my mind. I will speak directly as I see it. And I ask you to share your thoughts in the comments below. Without wasting any time, let's jump straight into today's video. So, this is the Husqvarna robotic excavator demolition machine, and this is their demo at the World of Concrete show . In fact, we saw it in action during demolition work at Conexpo a few months later. And we'll show you those shots , but we'll superimpose them with an interview I was able to get from him on World of Concrete. So you'll see a little " picture-in-picture" as we watch this machine in action. But before we do that, let's get some feedback from my wife. Yes, my wife. I think my wife can tell you better than me what happened at that stand. What did you say? I said it looked like they were pecking at it like a little bird pecking at a piece of concrete. So get ready for the next segment. Make yourself a cup of coffee because you're going to need something to keep you awake, and let's see this thing in action. Fine. Right now. I just can't believe they can justify that price. There was a line when we were doing... So, this is the same robotic excavator that we saw two months ago at the World of Concrete show in action at ConExpo. I know it's a bit confusing and I hope I'm not getting too far ahead of myself, but this was the first and only time I saw this thing actually try to break concrete. So what is it ? What is this even called? So, this is the DXR 140. We have three different models here: the DXR 140, the DXR 270 over there, and the DXR 300. They can all be fitted with different attachments. This model has steel shears, this one has a large concrete crusher, and this one has a grapple. Control is completely remote. How does it feed? This remote control is battery operated and transmits data to the car via Bluetooth. The machine itself is powered by a three-phase 480V network. Fully electric power supply, no emissions . The operator can be at the required distance from the machine using the remote control. Yes, yes. This model rotates 360° without any obstacles. For what purposes might you need such equipment? Typically this is the dismantling of interior spaces . Any specialized light demolition job that requires that requires, I would say, a combination of how we can get the job done while also redirecting additional labor to something else. How much does a car like this usually cost , do you know, in terms of cost? Yes, our list price for this car is $165,000. And this is our smaller model, so their price can reach $200,000. Do you think she could work slower? Do you know? Let's say you know a sledgehammer will do the job. I just said, " That's what he just said." I just said, "What the hell is he doing?" I could take this thing apart in a minute. Now, wow-wow-wow. Before you jump to conclusions, this probably is n't a Husqvarna. At least I hope it's not one of their representatives and it's not a very good representation of their equipment. I think it could be a regular guy who's just picking up these controls for the first time and he's just being cautious. Although I do n't know. So, with that helmet and Husqvarna jacket on him, he could very well be a representative. I just don't know. I can't confirm or deny this. I'm just showing you what I saw. Okay, after watching, guys, tell me. What do you think about this ? What? What? I don't know. What? What? What do you think about this ? It does nothing. I mean, you have to say what you see, I guess. Yes, I don't know much about them , but they don't do anything. Oh my god. 150, 160 thousand seems like a pretty high price for something like this. It would take this guy a whole day to destroy one concrete barrier. They wouldn't get tired, but they wouldn't achieve anything either. Sorry. Then I told him: “ For this price you can buy a full-size excavator.” Yes, and that is our list price. The advantages of these robots in work are quite obvious. When these robots work, we compare them to, say , a 2,500- pound machine with a tool, right? It will perform on par with an 8,000 to 10,000 pound excavator or an 8,000 to 10,000 pound mini excavator. Basically, when we have a hammer on it, we strike it at a much higher frequency than...the force of the strike is not that great. But when you're breaking concrete, the impacts are much higher, you know, impacts per minute, impacts per second. So, if you guys know that some of you watching this video have already used a similar design , please share your experience in the comments below. I never had the opportunity to test it. Do you want me to do this? Fine. Let's get started. Great. I like. We will definitely look into this issue. Okay, guys. Introducing Jonathan Schmidt. I'm Jonathan Schmidt from Outdoor Concepts and Design. So, yes. Do you work as a contractor? Certainly. What do you think of this design so far? Very light. I like. I really like that it is located in the center where it attaches. This helps a lot . What don't you like? The stand does not move to the side. You have to take another step back and make another hole in the concrete. Otherwise, I like her very much . Is it true? Fine. Because I would prefer to be able to move it to the side so that my legs remain stationary. Yes. What are you using now? We are currently using Magic Screed. So, would you trade your Magic Screed for this? Depends on the price, but the blade looks the same, and that's the most important thing for me . Okay, now let's talk about Paige. Come on in, Paige. Okay, guys. Meet Paige and Jonathan. These are the real contractors I met at the World of Concrete show . What is your favorite instrument? Milwaukee. Milwaukee? Since we're standing here, excuse me, guys. You told me a story about deodorant that I've never heard before. You broke a brand new Milwaukee radio for their Packout system. Three times? Three times. Three times. What's happened? We put it in a box. They sent it back to Milwaukee, but a day later a brand new one showed up on my doorstep . Do they ever ask, "How the hell do you keep breaking this?" No. No. They let me turn on the radio all the time. So I just couldn't help but mention it. We're at the Husqvarna booth and he says, "You know what I have with my Milwaukee radio?" Okay, let's look at some more cool new tools. Guys, I'm going to launch it now. You will notice that there is a lot of play here. So, almost everything we design is always developed with the operator's convenience in mind. Therefore, we want to achieve minimal hand vibration. This is probably one of the most balanced machines on the market. So while we're turning on the radio, I'll probably let go of my hands so you can see how it starts up on its own. Now, is this a four-stroke or a two-stroke engine? Four- stroke. We do not produce two-stroke engines. And we use a Honda GXR120, which is standard on our car. We are looking at balancing a Husqvarna chainsaw. Is he going to paint it? Okay, so what do we see on this specimen, Mike? This is a 970 chainsaw. And is it a plunge cut design? Yes. I have to tell you right now, Mike. I just love the smell, sound and feel of it. I don't know why. It's just damn nice. Oh, yes. Lightweight and comfortable. Easy to manage. Yes. Is this the first, second or third generation, or is it the same thing we've had for years? So they didn't change the design ? Yes. The largest model we have with a remote control is the 1000 pound one, which is our LG 504, and that particular model now has a compaction indicator . So, while working with the machine... What? Compaction indicator , it will show you. Yes, I can. I do n't want to interrupt , but I've never heard of a small self-propelled compactor having an indicator. We've always been guided by what he'll show you , you know? Yes. So, I'm really excited to see that. So here is our compaction indicator . When you start it, when you move back and forth, these lights will be on. I'm going to jump in now because his mic is off, but as you start moving, the first indicator shows loose gravel, then as it gets more compact it will show until you hit a solid line which tells you that you've fully compacted at that point. Yeah. Okay, what else do we see? Because you have a whole line of tools for cutting concrete. Right. Well, everything from this line, Mike, what do we see? Well, all models, from 1270, 770, 970 and 760, cut and break. What is this saw used for, Mike? This one is designed for cutting openings. Here you can make even cuts. It is possible to create openings. Can cut from 2" at a time up to 16 ". Did you happen to do a demonstration? Yes. What is a hole saw used for? For cutting openings for emergency windows and doors. So why not just use a regular diamond saw instead of a hole saw? I do n't seem to understand this. This saw will give you much more cutting space. Conventional chainsaws like this one will only do so much . This one will give you 9 to 12 inches. Can I ask you a real question? How long will this blade last? I mean, you touch it and it looks like it's dangling. Service life depends on the area of application, reinforcement, concrete. Does it have the same lifespan as a regular diamond blade? Is it equal or not? Equal. Equal to a regular diamond disc. It's all about segments. Oh, then no. So you don't have any structural problems because, I mean, it looks pretty weak. You are only talking about the diamond blade itself, but I was more worried about it deforming because there is nothing strong in it . Yes, once you insert it into the wall, it will be solid. Yes, it is true. The wall holds him in place. Fine. Okay, let's look at the cutting ring. This part? Is this a first generation bike or what is it ? Yes, it's all the same. Still the same, first generation? Now just take the pry bar and make the cut. Then you can start another 2-inch cut. Just keep making cuts all the way to the bottom. Mike, thank you very much. Gel battery, I presume? Yes, the yellow Optima battery has a yellow top. The reason you have a gel battery is because vibration destroys regular batteries. Here is my opinion. The compaction indicator is a pretty cool gadget, but it's not necessary because after you've been running a compactor like this for a while, the feedback through the handle will tell you when compaction is achieved . You will be able to notice how the seal hits and it will behave differently and it will only take you a few minutes to figure it out. But the compaction indicator is still a pretty useful feature. People have already compacted. So that's why he was jumping like that? Yeah, that's what we told Daryl before: when we know the seal is in place, he hits back. I call it a counterattack. Okay guys, that's the end of our video for today. I hope you enjoyed it. Now the next question is, would you like to see a similar video where I show DeWalt tools in use at the World of Concrete show? If so, I will make such a video. So let us know in the comments below what you want to see from DeWalt. I ask because I made a similar video at the Staffta exhibition and many of you watched it. It was quite a popular video. So I don't know if you want to see another DeWalt video or not. So let me know what you think in the comments below and I'll see you in the next video. God bless you. Forward! And I hope that whatever you do, you just make your day wonderful. See you in the next video!
