How to Stop Peeling Paint? Fix Peeling Paint and Save Money on Replacing Doors and Trim!

What happens here

Using the Wagner Paint Eater, sand down the door jamb and window trim. Focus on rounding out sharp edges and smoothing over nicks and dings. Pay attention to any nails that might be protruding; use a nail set to ensure they are flush or slightly recessed into the wood. This prevents damage to the sander and creates a smoother surface for priming. Continue sanding until the surface is prepared for the primer.

Goal: Smooth out rough surfaces and set nails flush with the trim.
