How to Start Your Garden Seeds this Year with Jiffy Peat Pellets! Learn today!
What happens here
After the Jiffy Pucks have fully expanded (typically 3-4 hours after soaking), use a mechanical pencil or a wooden pencil to create small holes in the center of each puck. The depth of the hole should correspond to the seed's planting depth as recommended on its packaging. For instance, 'Bachelor Button' seeds require a 1/4 inch depth. Gently 'wallow out' a small hole in the top center of each peat puck.
Goal: Prepare expanded peat pucks for seed placement
