How to service Dodge Ram Auto transmission
What happens here
With the pan off, use a Torx bit to unscrew the long screws holding the old transmission filter in place. There are two such screws. Once the filter is removed, carefully remove the old gasket from the transmission pan. The presenter uses a scraper and 'Goof Off' cleaner to thoroughly remove any old gasket material and clean the pan, including the magnet located at the bottom. This ensures a clean surface for the new gasket and checks for metal fragments (debris) on the magnet, indicating potential clutch wear.
Goal: Remove the old filter and thoroughly clean the transmission pan
