How to service Dodge Ram Auto transmission
What happens here
Once the truck is safely elevated, position a large oil drain pan or receptacle underneath the transmission pan. Using a 1/2 inch socket with an extension on a ratchet, begin loosening the transmission pan bolts. The presenter advises loosening the bolts on one corner or side first to allow the fluid to start draining in a controlled manner, reducing mess. For breaking the seal, the presenter initially tries a screwdriver, but later advises using a pry bar to gently pry the pan open.
