How To Replace An Old Ball Cock With A New Fill Valve

What happens here

First, carefully unscrew the arm and attached float ball from the old ballcock fill valve inside the toilet tank. Then, remove the small rubber refill tube that connects the fill valve to the overflow pipe. With the tank mostly empty, use a pair of medium-sized Channellock pliers to loosen the large nut on the underside of the toilet tank that secures the old fill valve. Turn the nut counter-clockwise until it is loose enough to remove by hand. Once the nut is off, pull the old ballcock fill valve out from the top of the tank. The presenter mentions that this can be a 'one tool job' if the tank is properly drained beforehand.

Goal: Completely remove the old ballcock fill valve from the toilet tank.
